The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

Friend,

And you sound like all the other democrats suffering from "Nixon Derangement Syndrom". The only FACTS we know are that "something" was reported to have happened, the league is looking into it, and Coach talked to the league regarding his side of the story. EVERYTHING else is pure b@llsh*t speculation.

It doesn't matter what ANY of the paid assasins at ESPN, NFLN, or any other media whore says. Unless and until the official word comes down from the NFL offices, then it's just a bunch of hypocritical old bitties talking gossip. These folks crying and gnashing their teeth over whatever may have happened are worse than fair-weather fans. They are chicken-littles, acting like lipjacking beauty-parlor gossip mongers.

In short, they aren't worth a bucket of warm spit.

When the Commish addresses things, then we can discuss it. Until then, let's get back to football.

It's just a big tinfoil hat vast Patriot-wing conspiracy. Of course! Estrella wasn't even in the Meadowlands on Sunday and he doesn't know how to operate video cameras, anyway.

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

Let me see, Having a guy sit in the stands and watch with his own eyes, the coaches playcalling is ok, but videotaping it is cheating? WTF? An i just heard on sportscenter that several other coaches from other teams are ready to pile on the Pats (Probably coaches who lost fair and square to the pats no doubt)

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

I would be bewildered if all these other teams/players/coaches/league piled it on the Pats for this. I am sure that fingers can be pointed at everyone in the league for doing something of an unfair/uncompetitive nature at some point. Last year the Dolphins admitted to stealing the protection calls. Rumor has it that the Colts have done it as well.

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

Screw the bandwagoners. Its a shame that some other teams fans were right about disloyal Patriots fans. Not all of us...both some of us. Like others have said the Pats have a lot of bandwagon fans.

so, it looks as if you will be giving up your seat onthe bandwagon.

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

I agree with what someone said earlier......this whole thing has just increased by annoyance with Colts and Jets fans. I've gotten some pretty self-righteous comments from a Colts fan today.

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

I have no intention of abandoning this team. I am pretty sad that BB's legacy will be tarnished in alot of people's minds, and I would LOVE to know why he continued doing this when the league specifically told them to stop and he KNEW that Mangina would be watching for it, but since this is BB we of course will never know that answer.
I do know that I LOVE this team, and reading the interviews with Vrabel and Hobbs I know why-this team believes in themselves and takes care or each other first and foremost, the Patriots are still the definition of a TEAM, screw the "Cheater" label and go out and win, boys!!! :rocker:

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

Even if somebody wanted to jump off the bandwagon you're still on an island with the rest of us. We're all alone now. All we have is each other. No more light-ribbing with other fans, no more "hate ya but respect ya" thing, the football world has turned against us. It doesn't matter if we are found guilty or not, punished or not - the world wants to believe it and will hate the Pats until Belichick leaves.

I'm going to stay on the bandwagon until the grave. All we can do now is look ahead.

Agreed times 1000. Fans and media alike will now be attempting to discredit all of the big wins, so its us against the rest (I know that sounds foolish as we are fans not players.) But that's how it is. Count me in the village, maybe even, if possible, more than before. Wouldn't want to be in the trenches with any other group. :D

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

I read from various poster how they don't feel the same about the team and how embarrassed they are to be Patriots fans. Please use this thread to state that you are no longer going to be active Patriots fans because you can't stand the shame.

Homerville has already decreased in population from a city to a village.:p

When the Red Sox season ends, there will be people looking to jump on the Patriots bandwagon. So, if you want to give up your seat please post it here.

Hey, good riddance to bad trash. Don't let the doors hit their arses on their way out. I spent a LOT of years having to follow a totally poo Pats team (as much as we could back then, via telly highlights, crackly radio and a bit of media). If I could put up with that, why the heck would I jump off now?

Ooh, I wonder if we may have the answer. Hmmm..... :p

Apparently so....

You know, I'm starting to get use to being a fan of the most hated team in the NFL. I think I like it. No more Boy Scout image to live up to.

Now if we do win another Super Bowl this year, they will probably call us the Evil Empire. For football, that would be totally cool.:rocker:

Yeah baby! Totally cool. I will relish walking around in the enemy country with my Pats gear (and increase the chances of getting hit, but that's ok...will take the risk for my team). :)

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

I have been a Patriot fan since I can remember...there have been much worse embarrasing moments than this. Why can I remember how to spell embarrasing?

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

Guess we are starting to feel how it felt to be a Raider fan from the 60s to the early 90s. Maybe we should get a more menacing logo. I already have my black Patriots hat, which I bought at training camp this summer.

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

Good. More legroom for me.

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

Man Rule

Anyone that jumps off - is not allowed back on

cus that would be cheating the man rule

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

Finally....a window seat!!!

Re: The official: Jumping off the bandwagon thread.

I've never been a bigger Pats fan than I am today. The media/league conspiracy (and that's exactly what it is) to demean, bring down and ultimately destroy this franchises' legacy only strengthens my resolve as a Pats fan.

Can't beat em? Accuse them of cheating or make up wild **** rumors like Florio is doing on PFT about the Pats putting radios in their defensive players' helmets.

Frankly, I embrace the villain role. Villains are more fun to root for anyway.

My point exactly!

If it's the same thing, why did the Pats have to advertise it????????

Something seems fishy about it. Putting a guy smack dab on the sidelines, in Patriot staff gear, with Patriot credentials around his neck, with a video camera. Either they were inviting this to happen or someone is plain stupid.

Why not 4 employees around the stadium in the stands with cellphone cameras. These people could be wearing regular clothes.

As I wrote earlier today, it's like the U.S. Marines outfitting our troops in the Afghan mountains hunting for Bin Laden with flashing neon yarmulkes.

This Patriot fan is here to stay.
