Just Imagine if Gronk... Grassy Knoll Super Merge

So Brady' success is due to his amazing O line? Yet how many different lines has he played behind. Yet just about every year he is head and shoulders over every other QB. Maybe its time to think that maybe its Brady and not the lines......yeah, seems fairly logical I think.

You are better off being a troll than a homer who cant be objective.

I say we ban this moron. I signed up for a Steelers forum because I legitimately wanted to wish them good luck in an upcoming matchup last year to be classy and wasn't allowed to post or approved once. You're lucky you're even still here

Once again, it's all about styles. Brady would have never survived behind some of the lines Ben had to play behind in the years when he was getting sacked 40-50 times a season. There's a misconception that Pit has always had great lines in front of him, and that's far from the case. Watch the game-winning drive in the Super Bowl against Arizona, and how much improvising and scrambling he had to do to get down the field. (Greatest SB drive culminated with the greatest SB-winning pass and catch.)

Ben, on the other hand, probably wouldn't have flourished as well as Brady did in his style of offense all those years. (Although Ben has gotten much better at being a pocket/rhythm passer as he's aged.)

Right now Brady is the clear GOAT, with maybe a handful of other guys who are worthy of at least being in the conversation. But if Ben wins it all this year, he is up there in that handful.

IF......

If Benny had a better offensive line....

If Benny had better coaching........

Brady has not had "Great offensive" lines in front of him. What he does have is a great understanding of the offensive scheme, great communication with this offensive line (they study film together), a great ability to study film on the next opponent to find the mismatches and the ability to get rid of the ball quick.

By the way. 75% of the Steelers offense goes through 3 players. 75% of the Patriots offense goes through 6 players. Hmmm. Maybe you could ask Benny boy if he could scan the field a little quicker. Nah. Keep it simple for him. He starts tossing INT's when he has to look past his second read.

There isn't a handful of QB's in the GOAT conversation. There are only two. Brady and Montana. Brady pretty much ended that conversation last February.

Ben isn't even in the who was the greatest Steelers QB conversation yet let alone a GOAT convo.

6 years ago you put up a thread proclaiming that Rapistburger was not that far behind Brady as far as QBs go. Then you started tearing into Brady supporters. Now you post this. I guess BigBen is so far behind Brady now you need something else to obsess about.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Interesting forum history:

Well that's my point. "What if's" are a slippery slope.

Huge fan of the Pats and of course Gronk. As everyone has already stated, his action on Sunday was 100% wrong. Saddened and shocked that he went postal on Bills player TW when the game was already won and almost over.

After listening to his explanation of frustration overall, all the media bashing of him, Brady's take, BB, coaches and on and on, some possible thoughts on what lead to his action:

1. No support from BB, coaches. BB is somewhat at fault as he noted (and glad he did admit this!). He is the team's leader and at no point is he out there disputing plays like he should be with the refs and supporting Gronk. Can't stand Ravens, but Coach Harbaugh really fights for his guys. Love that and his players love him for his emotion on the field ... they are supported by him.
RG has been on his own for the entire season. No support from BB. How would any player react with guys jumping all over all game and it's viewed as Ok by the refs, and your coach not helping your cause?
Again, it was not right but I could understand why he just went crazy by the end of the game. Gronk is human and had a human (over) reaction.

2. BB should have seen his frustration late in the game and pulled him out of the game earlier when the game was won.

3. CTE? -- RG has seemed off this year if seen any of his media interviews. Just not as sharp and have to wonder what is going on. Watch him from 3-4 years ago to now.

4. Bad influence of friend Mojo R. I think he copied his WWE buddy's moves from a few days earlier at a match.

Gronk is great on the field and has done so much positive for many.
Let's hope with his week off he'll reflect on his action and learn something from it. He has been judged by the nfl and now penalized for his unfortunate action.

And, hoping that the refs will change and adjust their calls towards him with this incident that they created by unfair calls or lack of.

Finally, that BB will be more supportive of his players and calls.

Interesting forum history:

That is a show stopper of a post right there. Yes sah.

Funny, I did see that and almost went right at that. The guy who's total argument is all "what if's" has claimed that "what if's" are a "slippery slope." Maybe they are only a slippery slope when they are not consistent with his particular narrative??

Kids, this is a good lesson. This is what it looks like when a poster has been completely obliterated. It is a classic case of hypocrisy and goal post moving.

Hey guys, just imagine if Gronk was born in Austria before WW1 and had a micropenis.

IMO the NFL should have suspended him until the Nuremburg trials.

6 seconds?? how about the entire game, or 55 min at that poimt, and the 10 games this year, and all the previous years??

He's been unfairly viewed by it and then harshly bc of his reaction that anyone would have the same.

Can someone translate this to English please?

There has been no obliteration here! Just because what if's may be a slippery slope does not mean it's a slope that can't be properly navigated. Almost every discussion about the top QB's of all time involves at least one major what if - as in, what if Marino had a running game? A valid what if. Most will say that Marino was probably the most mechanically gifted QB of all time, fully capable of winning championships with a better supporting cast. But he is not in the GOAT conversation due to lack of championships, and rightfully so.

As another example, I don't think it diminishes Brady's GOAT status to speculate how differently things would have been if he didn't have the luxury of spending his entire career in a division full of inept franchises. 7 SB appearances and 5 SB wins speaks for itself. But there is no denying that he has an annual ride to a division championships and top two seed that is less bumpy than most.

Let’s stop pretending Gronk punched a baby in the face

He jumped on a grown ass athlete in full pads and the most advanced helmet in sports history lol ************, dude.

It was a dirty play and regrettable for sure, but let’s calm down.

I heard a rumor about 6 years ago that "what ifs is a slippery slope". Oh was that you? What a freaking ironic coincidence. You know the way you've IF'd your way through this thread and all.

So the reason the Pats have been 7 and won 5 SB's is because the AFC East is weak?? How about the 5 teams the Pats beat to win the SB? Were they all from weak divisions as well? How about the teams they beat in the AFCCG? All from weak divisions? Do you know what the Pats winning record is in and out of its division is?

You should worry less about the Pats "weak" division and more about getting past the juggernaut Browns. You barely squeaked by them in the first game. That power house Cinci sure made things tough. The Rodgerless Green Bay win was freaking impressive. Stampeding the Luckless Colts must have been a season thriller. What a season bro.

Here come the hapless Ravens. Oh wait... You're ****ting your pants about the Ravens aren't you. I smell an L headed your way.

Great googly moogly.

You based your narrative of CTE, BB not protecting him and bad influences on a play that happened in 6 seconds. If Gronk didn't have a moment of stupidity you would not have written your post.

The way people view him is as a future HOF TE, one of the greatest TE's in NFL history and a 2 time SB champion who had one stupid moment in his career.
