There are probably a dozen hits per year that are every bit as dirty as this one, and they always result in a fine or a one game suspension. This punishment is actually on the harsh side when compared to all precedents, especially considering that it's his first offense. And I'm fine with that, because the hit was dirty as hell. A one game suspension is harsh, but it's not outside the real of reason given how dirty the hit was.

OTOH, your "at least 2 games and fine" is a load of **** based on nothing that you almost certainly pulled out of your ass to seem like some kind of edgy contrarian.

I read somewhere last night that if Gronk gets suspended and then appeals right away, there should be a decision by thursday, very similar to what happened last week to Talib and Crabtree.

He didn’t drive the guy’s head into the ground. His left arm/elbow caught his head as he piled on. If gronk’s arm hit his back instead, we would be talking no fine or suspension, just a 15 yard penalty.

I'm fine with appealing on principle: it's his right, and there's no real downside. That said, when his suspension is upheld he should not be surprised and should not feel slighted in any way. He deserves it.
