It's easy, and only takes a few moments. No way we win the SB last February without him and his 6 crucial catches for 70 yards. As far as I'm concerned Malcolm does not exist until I see him on the field. He's been hurt since he got her. I expect nothing from him. Anything we get is a pleasant, unexpected surprise. Done thinking about him.
Who would take his place? The receiver who’s got 3 catches since week two?Mitchell is not even guaranteed to make it to the playoffs healthy.
My thoughts exactly, but I’d add in the lack of development/production from Dorsett to that formula, too. Had he been gaining the trust of Brady in these past 2 games without Hogan, I may have gone back to leaning towards bringing VV back. Before the Hogan injury and the acquisition of RJF (another Packers refugee btw), I was leaning more toward VV. But, now, I think I'd rather have MM as insurance for the offense.

What’s the point of the thread? He's not. Don't follow?
Well, Brown doesn’t factor into the equation since his decision will be made without consideration to VV/MM, but I agree with you that the run defense is a concern. Hopefully, Brown is healing and back soon. Either way, the run defense is going to remain an area of weakness. The game is won and lost in the trenches. I would rather have valentine and brown back healthy in order to stop the opposing team’s ground games.
It's comforting to know he's (possibly) available, if needed. ?With Hightower our we need BOTH Brown and valentine to rotate with branch and clog the middle.
Love Mitchell but he is an extra toy at this point and we have plenty.
He was a pleasant surprise. He outplayed my expectations. And when it really mattered most.No way we win the SB last February without him and his 6 crucial catches for 70 yards.
Even if he never produces again, winning a SB is worthy of a 4th round draft pick. He’s not a “bust.” He had over 400 yards and 4 TDs in the regular season, too.
Yeah, he played so poorly last year. Screw that guy and his 70 yards in the SB. I say we just cut his legs off and put him out on the street to live the rest of his miserable life homeless, friendless, and with dead dreams. Oh we should probably kill his family as well for good measure...
I'm supposed to pine away for the guy because he did his job in the Super Bowl 10 months ago? He cannot stay on the field. That's just a fact. Doesn't mean I hate the guy, drama queen. It just means that my expectations of him contributing are justifiably low. Some guys' bodies just are not built to be professional athletes. He might be one of them. He couldn't even stay healthy in college. Damaged his ACL celebrating a teammate's TD, for Christ's sake. Who does that? Given that Bill's mantra is avaliability over ability it's hard to imagine him being here after his rookie deal expires unless he takes a hometown discount. Especially if he has a big 2019 season. Rooting for the Pats is like watching the Walking Dead. Pointless to get all that attached to all but a handful of players.
I know it. Just like that p*ssy Edelman, who tore his ACL just changing direction.
Man, if only the Patriots could have a roster full of internet tough guys instead of sissies like Edelman, Hightower, and Mitchell, they would be sooooooi much better.
FTR I broke my elbow the same way Mitchell did and I didn’t miss a game, he was out for weeks,. What a p*ssy.
When did we start this alliterative naming fad? “Peter Parker, green goblin... and worst of all, J Jonah Jameson...”

I'd take VV over MM but that's a 60/40 proposition.
VV would be a great addition to the D line but MM is a valuable receiving threat.
Kontra's Red zone argument makes sense too.
Whatever. I'll let Bill decide this one.
