Congrats BB and Pats fans well deserved. NO fans amazed at what you as fans and the team have achieved. Congratulations
I want that miserable SOB Shula to be alive to see it.
If I had to guess it probably won't happen. I think BB stays to ride out Brady who probably has 3 years left after this one. After that who knows.
I don't think BB walks if he thinks he has a very good chance to win a super bowl or get the HC win record in that year. I don't think he coaches if those things aren't the case. If Brady retires after 3 more years and he thinks he may need a few years to rebuild (and 3-4 years to pass Shula) I don't think he'll want to muddle through that just to get the HC wins record.
It is possible though if things fall right. If he really likes his next QB a lot or if Brady can defy father time till he is 45 year old who knows.
It would be shocking to see either one of those things happen. I doubt that Belichick wishes to coach for another 6-7 years, and asking for an average of 12-13 wins a year is ridiculous, at least with a QB who’s on the wrong side of 40.In order to catch Shula, over the next 6 years Bill needs to average 13 wins per season.
Possible, but tough.

Belichick will have to settle for 2nd place on this particular list, and we’ll be lucky to have witnessed that if it occurs.
