Its bizarre but I get Tom going as an avocado. I get it.

But a Brazilian supermodel going as a piece of toast? Its so random its funny.

Kind of like, "honey" what shower curtain do you like?? Response, "I don't care you choose".. somethings you just go along with.

Then you come home and big changes have been made, you say "why did you do all of this"?? The response is, "I thought you didn't care" then the smile.

Thing is, avocados on toast became a whole hipster fad last year. It's still a thing in some areas. I suspect that's where the costume idea came from.


But heck, you never know. When my son was 5, I asked him what he wanted to be for halloween. He said he wanted to be a door. Yup, a door.

So I put my skills to work and created a door costume. I had just replaced some cabinet doors, so I took two of them, and made shoulder straps to connect them. He wore it like a sandwich board. Then I took a plastic hair band, and fastened an EXIT sign to it.

A lot of folks were very confused when they asked him what he was and he replied "I'm a door",

Their expressions were priceless.
