In less than 6 min

Leg snapped like a twig

A freak play, after an alley-oop attempt...reminiscent of Pats' Game One in 2008, not a good memory for all of us.

Hoping for some good, encouraging news in the next 48 hours...we're a long, long way ahead of where we were medically fifty years ago

Well, this seasons shot for the Celtics. Wish heyward the best.

Horrific. Tough to watch.

Get well GH

How bad was it?
Real bad - foot twisted 90 degrees just below the ankle. bone.
Replays on You tube but I'd rather not post a link.

That was awful. Seen that exact same injury ( at least in appearance ) on an 8th grader that is surgery and 6 months of recovery.

Thought it was above, but I only saw it for a second

It looks like his ankle is shattered which would be much worse than him simply breaking his leg.

Just saw it... thats one of the worst things I have seen in live sports. Right up there with another Basketball injury from some European guy.. I think from the Kings. I don't think the guy ever made it back to an NBA court.

Man I am so disappointed.. a trip to the finals is pretty much over now. A rare injury. Good luck Gordon

Yes , I was thinking that hoping no, no no ... just broken but the ankle area was huge.

Is his foot broken at the ankle will still in his shoe?

I don't think we're necessarily toast yet.

Would really love to see him back out on the court on opening night, a year from now.

Encouraging news will be if this guy plays again. That contact just became one of the worst in the nba
