Looks like two players will be able to begin practicing after week 6 and activated to play after week 8 (which is the Pats bye week).
From Wiki: Injured reserve list - Wikipedia
"starting in 2012, the NFL and the NFLPA reached an agreement allowing one player placed on injured reserve to be brought back to the active roster.[3] Provided that the player was on the final 53-man preseason roster (A rule exempted for the 2012 season), and that the injury is deemed to keep this player unable to practice or play football for an estimated six weeks, the player may be allowed to practice after Week 6, and be activated to play after Week 8.[4] As of 2017, teams may now return two players from injured reserve after Week 8.[5]"
Having valentine back would be nice because of the stuff going on with branch. We will see.
Need info on when each player was IRed (the unable to practice or play for 6 weeks) following part.
I read somewhere that, because he was not on the 53 man roster at the start of the season, Garcia is not eligible to return this season.
Based on his clutch performance in the big game, I hope Mitchell returns. As a rookie, he had Brady's trust - a sign he is a keeper if he can stay on the field.
Idk if adding another average LB helps. Valentine is a boost and so would be Mitchell. Either way I hate our LB lol.I agree but if Valintine and McClellin are able to return they would fill a much bigger need imo.
