There's actually people calling in on the Felger and Mazz show saying Brady sucked. Wow, I just don't even know what to say. What are people watching? Felger actually strongly disagreed.

Pink hats, doom & gloomers and trolls are their fanbase. Those people calling are the people who come here to do some victory posting after the Pats lose or are the ones on here telling you the defense sucked last night.

lol Brady completes 75% of his passes and they are claiming he sucked. Had he got a tiny bit better protection or a guy got open a second sooner He probably would have completed 87% of his passes, had 3 TD and close to 400 yards.

But the eye test!

Any other QB would be ****ting bricks behind this offensive line. Brady has flourished despite it.

lol CSNNE, according to whoever wrote the script for their update didn't watch the game

Apparently all the defensive issues they had the last 2 weeks were still there. How can anyone watch that game last night and say "ya this is the same defense that played against Houston and Carolina the last 2 weeks".

Ya there are still some issues but my friggen word. I guess the defense was supposed to go on the road on 3 days rest and hold a solid offense to under 200 yards and pitch a shutout for some people.

I'll take it! No Gronk, short travel week, J.Mac changing O. Again, Amendola comin through when needed. Hopefully D has something to build on in these comin 10 days before jets* game.

Is Malcolm Mitchell due back week 6?

Oh! This is pimp? Ahhhhhhhhh. That explains it.

Been saying it for a while.

His style is absolutely identical to the **** posting that came from the Pimp. I dont remember whether the Pimp disappeared because I finally put him on my ignore list or because he made himself a new account but yeah..

I have rarely seen BB in such a good mood after a game.

He was so cheerful at the post-game presser that he actually gave a civil answer to a question about a play call (Why did you kick the field goal? Did you think about going for it on 4th and short to end the game?)

He obviously didn't just like the way that the team played, but the way that they prepared for the game. Who am I to disagree? :)

Not worth getting frustrated by it. I think all of us just wanted improvement on defense and a victory. They got both. But people need to keep up the negativity.

There are clearly still issues but the coaching on defense was great, the execution was solid and our fundamentals were better.

Gotta feel encouraged just a bit. But it won't matter what they do, the defense will be doubted all along the way.

The line backing issue is going to be a big question mark. We'll see if they can overcome it. Will require excellent coaching and secondary play.

Atlanta will be a major test. That's when we'll know if we've actually made substantial improvement or not.

I won’t bother reading it, but that’s garbage. If not for a Wise hands to the face penalty, they may have zero at halftime. They played soft on the scoring drive in the last 5 minutes, and the final drive of the game, but otherwise they were much better. The only “bad” play that jumps out is the Jackson catch and run that Harmon took a poor angle, and he gained 20-25 yards more than he should have. Communication was much better this game. This is the game they improve on, and I bet they will.

The refs actively tried to make this game more competitive. The bucs never should have had a field goal opportunity before halftime. Drives extended by penalties probably made this game closer than it should have been. Defense was definitely improved.

Yeah, a few dozen threads back a poster said what they needed was a team fun day or something, and everybody piled on, yours truly included. He did look almost ready to take everybody to putt-putt and Chuck E Cheese.

Don't want to derail the thread so I'll end just by saying that I take that with a grain of salt - QBs have their own biases and are going to be more lenient on what they think is grounding. As an example, Brady didn't think his throw in SB 46 was grounding either.
Because it wasn't.

Winston's, however, was.

Side note: I hope everyone who's been ripping on McCourty watches last night's game a second time and pays close attention to him. He was great, including when he cleaned up Harmon's terrible angle on DeSean Jackson's big gain and ran him down here:

There are two safeties in the NFL that can make that play, and if we don't have one of them there's a damn good chance we lose last night.

I know some of the usual suspects will just focus on the fact that on Brate's TD he was near the ball but wasn't able to make a play on it, but far more importantly he was all over the field making plays all night.

Lol. Relax man. I want this team to play to their highest level. I hope the OL fixes itself out.

The guy who posts 1000 posts a month is telling someone else to relax? Seriously, why would you feel the need to post that much on here? Its 25 posts a day. Do you have a fuking life? If you dont, get one.

You come across as a mentally ill loser.

I really don't understand the people that insist on continually bashing McCourty every chance they get and suggest that he's not a good player. He's been an elite presence back there and top 3-4 in the entire league at that position. His range is insane, as showcased by the video clip provided above... That was DeSean Jackson he was running down from 5+ yards back like a Cheetah on its prey

We complained for YEARS on this forum about the need for a good safety, and then McCourty came along and solidified the position.. but people want to still complain and act like there is something even better out there

Its mind boggling.... every time he's anywhere near a play that doens't work out defensively, people are all over him... and yea, he messes up sometimes, but its pretty damn rare! Michael Jordan missed lots of shots in his career, we just have some insanely spoiled "fans", although I have a theory that some aren't fans at all and are just advanced levels of trolls

Some probably just hate him because of the national anthem stuff.. i guess I get it, but I care more about how he performs on the field and as a leader in the locker room... and hes a TEAM CAPTAIN.. so I'd say hes doing a swell job there and on the field with his elite play
