We'll see

Probably not next week. The falcons and rams will test your theory though
We don't play the rams.

Sorry we won maybe you can be happier next week.

Oops.

I'm still not adjusted to seeing LA in a teams name.

You don't have to be a ****. I'm not unhappy we won. I disagree with you that it was a great defensive effort. Improvement yes, but that isn't saying much when you're the worst defense in the league.

14 points numerous 3 and outs good 3rd down D is a good game for any defense.

Well given that they are playing the jests on 9 days rest that might not be the case for him and his fellow trolls and doom & gloomers

We don't need to debate this anymore. You saw what you saw.

I saw the bucs missing wide open throws without any pressure. I don't call their screw ups good defense. Just bad execution on their part

They missed one wide open throw when the patriots forced them into a 50 yard bomb on 3rd and 4.

The defense played great.

You are wrong

I'm sorry they won, maybe next time.

Not sure what game you watched but they missed more than 1 wide opened throw. Winston missed two short throws on simple overthrows, another he gunned into the RB and it went through his hands.....I believe all were 3rd down throws that if completed were for 1st downs. The D was playing off so as to not give up the big play and it worked but it left a lot of the underneath opened. Like Romo said no way to fix what was wrong in 3 days so they played a conservative D to take away what Bucs like to do, go long. It worked and they went from the worst D in football to one that is slightly below average. Gave up way to many big rushes but again part of the conservative D they played. They improved and that was what I was looking for in the D. My bigger concern is the OL. Its the same guys from last year that have given up more sacks in 5 games than they did in 12. My guess is that it has something to do with the new O and trying to stretch the field with Cooks and Hogan instead of taking the short stuff and dinking and dunking down the field. Means Brady has to hold ball longer so OL needs to keep pocket in tact longer and it doesn't appear they can.

Why is everyone here talking about the Bucs messing up and losing the game instead of us winning, looking at the game in a singular vacuum.

We beat a team on a home winning streak and got into their heads. Their QB couldn't make normal throws because of our pressure early. If you want to talk about missed FG's you have to acknowledge the many times we could have had an extra TD.

There are a lot of reasons why Tampa lost, some being self inflicted. But the main reason is because the Patriots played a strong defensive bout. This is a team with Mike Evans and Doug Martin, along with a slew of others.

Did you suddenly expect a mauling after we've done the complete opposite for 4 games? On the road? On a short week? Coming off a loss at our own stadium? Without Gronk? With a not-100% Hightower?

You do realize this is the NFL, right? Expectations around here are in one side or the other - "They'll suck and all die from how bad they suck I hate them" to get "They better win by +100! We're the Pats"

I immediately said safety when that play happened and I have no clue how on Earth that wasn't called. Furious about that still.
Same here..... but what amazes me even more was how absolutely nobody mentioned anything about it..... not the announcers, not any players on the field, the officials never huddled, nothing from the sidelines....

I know the Patriots are not a team that lobbies for penalties, but there are times when doing a little lobbying may help out....

There was also the most blatant hold on a bucs rushing TD right in front of the runner and wasn't called.

Honestly I wasn't fully aware of the rule, so I wasn't upset about it last night. I thought it just had to be thrown in the general direction of a receiver - and it was, so while I didn't like it I was ok with it. I wasn't aware that it also had to land within the vicinity of a receiver. Clearly it did not -- and so now I'm upset that on a night the refs called the game extremely tight, they let that one go.

I also have to laugh at him talking up the falcons who just lost to the bills at home, should have lost to the lions and had Jordan Howard hung onto the ball would have lost to the bears, who had a 1st and goal from the 5 with 20 seconds left.

I would be ecstatic if we finish 6-2 before the bye. That game against the falcons will tell us where this team is. They haven't played well at home.

Pipe down. The falcons are still a good team. I think it will be a measuring stick for this team.

Take them however you can. I live in Tampa and literally work right around the corner from the stadium so I've had to listen to a whole bunch of "we are gonna beat your bad defense" talk all week.

Good win, lets take some time off, recoup and smother the Jets.
