Faith based solid D prediction

Well we know they came out in a scheme we have never seen before week 1 with a 326 with 4 safeties.
Perhaps they practiced in that scheme all camp and once they realized it was ass they are scrambling to install something else.
This team has dozens of not hundreds of coverages and it seems like every db is spending time at different spots.
Maybe they need to settle in personell groupings and roles first.

Yeah, I forgot about the Jordan Richards Experience. That was a disaster.

Sure but it's virtually impossible and not something you can set as a goal, and of course the defense has to play great to do it.

There's no tongue in check emoticon, Andj. The laughing-tongue-sticking-out guy is all we had.

Somebody substantiate it somehow.

I have a feeling I based my predict-the-score score with... the feeling is, the stiffs with whom we're familiar in the Pats' D are nowhere near as bad as they've played. The secondary alone, as a unit, is an improvement to middle-of-the-pack waiting to happen. Less sure (to say the least) about the backers, but I think - no, feel, for reasons unknown, regardless of Hightower's availability - that somehow they and the D line are going to have a good day.

My personal psychic connection to the football gods only extends this game, if it comes true. It feels like once they get a game in hand, the next one will still surprise them, regardless of opponent. That's my inner narrative, this team is slow to understand that every year's team is different. But for right now they're sick and tired of being slow and tired.

I have seen the future, and it is what we would now call a lights-out performance, regardless of what we'd call it in years past (though it would be pretty good.)

The D allows three FGs and a TD, total 16 points.

Total pipedream. Somebody fill it in with real knowledge. And/or, everybody laugh.
So the local media is burying Matt Patricia for wearing the clown shirt, and say he is getting his comeuppance for it with the defense' showing thus far this season.

First of all, The Goodell Clown Shirt Should Have Been Created And Worn En Masse in September 2007 - and in the last ten years since.

Second, Matt Patricia has nothing to prove to anybody. The only thing proven after four rough games to start a season is that dumb people want to bury a guy when he's going through a hard time.

Being under played in this bad run is the D actually played solid in New Orleans. . Held them to 4 for 12 on 3rd down (33%). Held Brees to a 60% completion rate Which is 13% lower than he has averaged in the other 3 games so far (73.2%) Held them to 13 points, yes it was 20 but 7 came when Pats were up 23 points with 5 minutes to go.

Saints had 8 drives in non-garbage time here was what they gained on 7 of them

34 (FG)
1 (Punt)
45 (FG)
46 (Downs)
32 (Punt)
35 (Missed FG)
5 (Punt)

Clearly this defense can play solid they just need to turn that corner where they are doing it consistently.

So it's agreed. We just have to play New Orleans some more

BB needs to pull out that sideline speech where he chewed out the defense in the 2014 Baltimore and Seattle super bowl i.e., "there's nothing different here, you just have to do your job".

Seemed to work then. But maybe he waits for the important games before pulling out the big guns.

Every time I see this title, I'm thinking they've signed Tebow to play linebacker.

Can he rush the... oh never mind. He wouldn't do it even if he could.
