You win some you lose some as long as we are healthy for the stretch run, we should be fine

Wonder if a JC type trade needs to be made to shake things up. I don’t know if they actually need outside help like another player or just a good wake up kick in the ass.

Totally vain and meaningless take:

My least favorite byproduct of the Gilmore penalty: it erased what would have been the 3rd sack in 4 games for Wise. While the stats don't matter, I'd love to see him get recognition on an all rookie team, and sack numbers look sexy to media types.

"Best of Game Day Thread" moderated I see? Haha.

We are playing TB on a short week at their place then the Jets at their place then back to Gillette for the Falcons. It is not out of the realm of possibility that we could be 2-5 after week 7. The Jets always play us hard and this D is not gonna stop Atlanta like the Bills did today. The concern is warranted and real. If this D doesn't get its act together soon this season will be a bust.

Yeah as really think that it was all about trying to give not a shot over in that of F.G. for the Panthers. It was about prevented over on the F.G. Even though Graham Gano has a great leg.

I was quoted in the game thread by a 30K poster because I was getting frustrated by feeling we play too passively on defense. I feel the stand the line up contain the running QB doesn't work particularly well. I was told the problem was we were being over aggressive? I'm 55 and have been a fanatic Patsfan my whole life. Am I not seeing correctly or does it feel we play a very cautious brand of defense. I think the personal would better suit the Denver press man attack style. Who thinks we play over aggressively on defense?
One piece of advice from a "15K poster"...stay out of the gameday threads...we all get frustrated...better to have a sandwich or pour another drink than post at those moments...

And keep this thread bumped up. This season is over. Even if they make the playoffs they will lose. They're not winning the SB. The worst defense I've seen in years by the Pats. 2011 was better. This is embarrassing.

They're done. This is not 2014. No way in hell they beat Tampa either so 2-3.

Just so you know, when you quit on them week 1 that was good for the entire season, you don't need to come back and quit on them again. So you're all set for the season, goodbye. See you after their first loss next season.

What?

I still think we find a way and win this division. If they don't write the ship soon then a bye's out of the question. It could be one of those years where we lose in the AFC divisional round.

Just re-watched the highlights, can't believe how wide open those panthers receivers got. At time there was enough space to fit in a school bus. I expected that kind of miscommunication on the road, not at home. Not sure this is salvageable, the defense is what it is, It's up to the offense to score 35+ a game against everyone to have a decent shot at a win.

I'm sure part of the angst among Pats fans is due to their not being used to close games, as shown with these stats:

Through four weeks, Patriots offensive snap percentage when...
  • Leading: 43.3%
  • Trailing: 31.6%
  • Tied: 25.1%

Let's see what they do in a short week at tampa. When looking at the schedule I didn't expect to lose those two games. Can they lose 4 games before the bye? It's possible.

Were you a Patriots fan two years ago? They looked just as bad through 4 weeks in 2014, and that team won the Super Bowl
Why do people keep bringing up 2014? The offense looked horrible in 2014 in the beginning, and there were talks that Tom Brady was done. This year though Brady is great, but it doesn't matter. That defense is truly awful. Even 2011 is better. 2014's defense was not that bad in the first 4 games of the season.

They made Trash Newton look like the MVP he was 2 years ago. This was a guy who was close to being BENCHED last week. Are you kidding me?

Jacoby can play. Should have traded Jimmy for assets and kept him. That would ensure another two years of Brady as well.

I just find it odd that the saints have gone on to give up 13 point since we beat them including shutting out the lolphins.
