People always says this after we make a below average QB look like John elway in his prime.

Fact is, he looked like garbage against cincy last week.

We need to go up against a team that doesn't have three no doubt elite guys in their front 7.

His game today against a putrid Saints defense was laughable.

1. Nate Solder is done after this year. The Pats will pick a LT with their 1 or 2 next draft.

They'll be moving on from Solder. I think he's done a good job for NE and that he was a good pick who contributed to winning teams. But, his contract & such make his return improbable. Further : he might hang it up - he's got lots going on outside the game. Seems like a genuine, fine person. I wish him well & hope he has a good season.

Lots of work to do, but a W is a W, TFB seems to be communicating a bit better with BFC, and we can all step back from the ledge now.

Dude let’s be honest.....this team got its collective *** handed to them today and were totally outplayed on both sides of the ball and outcoached. A couple more completions by Texans , and yes a great comeback drive by the GOAT and we wouldn’t be celebrating....Pats will take the W and move on....but they all have a ton of holes to fill and areas to address.

I said the day we traded for him i didn't like the trade or the player, he looks like tarzan plays like Jane and has done ever since the end of a decent rookie year.

Won't be surprised if he doesn't make it through the season.

I think that was the intention behind the double dip of Garcia (specifically) and McDermott in this year's draft. Give them a year to train up and get experience as an extra TE and injury backup, like Solder in 2011. Unfortunately one is on Buffalo now, and the other is on NFI list after only playing a few days in camp. Hopefully Garcia will be able to come back this year and make progress so the team can be comfortable with him next year, if indeed Solder intends to call it a career.

He needs to go....guy has been a liability for past few years and actually Cannon has been bailing him out a lot....now he is exposed....gone after this year and hope we get a better option for this year via trade etc or Brady’s health is in jeopardy

It's awful still. If brady was still in his early 30s then it wouldn't be a problem. He's the franchise. We can't let him get hit like that game in and game out

The defense was horrible again. Definitely a huge concern but also you've just gotta have faith that Belichick will work it out. I trust him but something needs to change. Without Brady's magic that defense would've dragged us down to 1-2 and put us in a very uncomfortable situation.

BUT you've gotta take it! Thrilling and you just had to have a feeling that Brady would drive down for the score. But I didn't imagine he'd convert two 3rd and longs.

The receivers also ought to take a bow. Great contributions from Gronk, Hogan and Cooks. Speaking of Cooks, THAT is the guy we've been waiting for. What a clutch performance. Great catches. Offense is still balling out, defense needs to right the ship fast.

Brady is still the best player in the league. This season is going to be a grind. We aren't likely to get to or win the Super Bowl though until this defense shows significant improvement. Looking forward to HT being back....

I don't think Watson will run that much. He made some really quality throws today. Obviously there will be learning pains - but this kid has succeeded everywhere he has played - and does not seem out of his league on an NFL field.
