I'm rooting for Jacoby

He'll be fine. Brisett has great physical tools and first-rate character. At a bare minimum, he'll be great for the locker room

That's great for the Colts.

What do the Colts bring to the table that is good long-term for Brissett?

It's like he just got adopted by the Octomom.

He won't cause a QB controversy but, I am rooting for him.

He managed to survive a less than stellar, and at times dysfunctional college football experience. It stunted his development, but he still rose to the occasion when needed. Couldn't ask for a better caretaker/backup to help a rebuilding franchise

Would I love to see him play in a winning culture? Sure

But ask Garoppolo what that feels like. Whether in New England or with the Brown's, competitors want their chance to play (and the paycheck that comes with that!)

Patience.

I know this is very unpopular here, but Brady will not see the 2019 season in a New England Patriots uniform.

Would Aaron Rogers have been any better off if he played earlier on for the Browns?

.

Can the mods move this to the general section? Jacoby is no longer a patriot. He is a colt. BB traded him for a reason. I would rather talk about Phillip Dorsett.

What makes you so confident in that statement?

Patience is a lot to ask from a 26-year old, eager to fulfill his dream and earn his first big payday.

And if you feel like you're a franchise quarterback who can turnaround a bad team and take it to the playoffs, then I doubt you'd feel intimidated by the Browns or the Redskins.

Even Brady pre-2001 would've gladly accepted a starter role on any team prepared to accept him and his potential.

At the end of the day, players want to play and compete. I doubt Jimmy G wants to remain on the bench till 2019.

Besides, NFL careers can be notoriously short

C'mon...You can't be serious

The Wolfpac never dies!

Nothing is ever 100% guaranteed.

He'll be 42, his wife is a force of nature, what else would he have to prove?

His dad said as much last year. It won't end well. He knows.

"Besides, NFL careers can be notoriously short"

They are REALLY short for QBs of basement franchises.

I agree with you that young athletes chomp at the bit for playing time, and that's understandable. The Aaron Rodgers example is a good one, though. Had Steve Young stayed in Tampa, he never would have had the career he had either.
