They've only had Watson in for two series though and he's looked much better than Savage. The Jags will be very decent this year as long as Fournette is healthy and they limit Bortles to game manager. That defense has two very good corners in Bouye and Ramsey. They're flying to the ball.

What is it with O'Brien having problems picking a QB? He had the same problem a couple of years ago with Mallet/Hoyer

I honestly think Watt's back is still very much bothering him. He's been in and out of the game and, when he was in, he was a non-factor and was getting blocked one on one.

I don't remember the Ds of 03-04 being conservative..but I would have to go back and rewatch

Belichick had always been conservative. Those defenses played 2 gap and a good amount of zone.
On obvious passing downs they got creative but the basic philiosophy belichick had always had is don't give up big plays and make teams make many plays to drive down the field and score on you.

Stats are fun. But, really, in professional sports your objective should be a championship. Not "being good" or "not being the worst team".
