Report: Jets claim ex-Patriots DE Kony Ealy off waivers

Jets...

...they love picking through our garbage.

Or maybe, instead of our making our own speculative interpretations of events, we could just take BB at his word.
There's no word to take, Belichick didn't say anything. "It didn't work out" isn't a reason.

Hard to believe if all these teams put in claims we couldn't get anything for him?
Yeah, that was my first thought as well.

Perhaps those teams all covet their draft picks so much they weren't willing to give up even a late rounder? Or they all thought they would be the only one to place a waiver claim?

Maybe these other teams were looking at it as if this is nothing more than a free five-day tryout. Get an up close look at a veteran. If it works out keep him; if it doesn't, then no loss.

Its a interesting Gang Green Ealy thread.

Half of the 63 current posts bemoan the fact they haven't done anything to fix their offensive line.

The idea, guys, is to keep the Jete mired in perpetual mediocrity vs. the off chance they luck out with a franchise quarterback draft pick by tanking. You both should know that no one enjoys seeing them lose more than yours truly.

I'm not sure I understand your comment.

In case you didn't listen to BB's media conference call or read the transcript of it, BB said that Ealy was "making steady progress", "worked hard", "did everything we asked of him", and then said that the Pats released Ealy a week ahead of cutdowns to give him a jump on finding an opportunity elsewhere, because "he deserved that much".

I posted that to contrast with the rampant speculative claims that Ealy was lazy, had an attitude problem, "thought he was a better coach than BB", etc.

Clearly, there are some folks who, for whatever reason, disliked Ealy so much that they were willing to imagine all sorts of terrible things about Ealy's behavior well beyond where our actual knowledge of events stops, and even now, to continue to cling to those imaginings in spite of BB's own statement.

It seems pointless to me to doing anything but take BB at his word, to accept "it didn't work out" as the reason, and to move forward. Ealy's gone. His time with the Pats in now history. We're on to the Giants.

Well, y'know, it probably won't matter what QB they get their mitts on in the draft since they're virtually certain to find a way to screw him up, too.

Instead of tennisballhead you are a..
When you begin to look at him in the context of a troll, he actually becomes the funniest poster on the forum.

Wonder if Ealy will feel like "having a diaper on and never changing it. And just sitting in that diaper the whole year", at the end of the season as was described by Brandon Marshall after his 2016 banishment to the Jets...

Oh he totally does it to just to get a rise out of the natives.

That's why the lighthearted " Meathead " is appropriate.

He even gave my post a "like". Lol

Nah. I want them to go 0-16 every year. Whatever QB they get they will screw up.
