Official Preseason Game 2 Thread Pats @ Texans

Think a QB with a shorter throwing motion is called for in a situation like that.

So I thought Caleb Kidder had an interesting game playing at the edge of the line. I'd like to see him on our practice squad this season.

0–2. I'm a fan of winning records for good teams in the preseason even.

Pats 0-2. On our way to 0-20

On the whole a few encouraging things.

Flemming did well as the LT was huge.
Ealy having a good day was huge.

Roberts getting hurt was unfortunate. Hope he feels better soon. Good role LB.

LOL. What a way to end a game. Unfortunate to lose, for sure, but it's preseason, so I don't really care. I don't mind the entertainment factor on that one.

Brissett seems like a really nice guy, hard worker, but he doesn't have the arm or mechanics to be an NFL QB. I think we should trade him or cut him, and never listen to parcells again,

Yeah thanks alot FartCells.

Ok I agree with the poster who said Brisetts ceiling is third string.
Go into the season with 2 QBS and put Jacoby on the practice squad.
If that allows us to keep all of our dynamic backs.
DJ Foster has more upside than Brisett.

So based on tonight, does Kony Ealy make the team?

Jacoby is gonna make this team but he's starting to veer towards Tebow levels of 'great guy, great heart, great teammate, mechanics are an issue.'

I hope we get to see some good progress from him, he looked in the regular season last year than he has this year in the preseason.

From Oliver Thomas

13 Patriots caught passes tonight. O'Shaughnessy, D.J. Foster the leaders. O'Shaughnessy: Five for 41 Foster: Four for 52, TD, Burkhead: Three, 52, TD

It's not a guarantee.

Butler had two pressures & I think drew 2 penalties in the 4th quarter from DE spot including that sick spin move. He deserves an extended look at that spot.

Foster is an NFL RB. He's going to get picked up somewhere.

Byrkhead's 8 yard run was awesome. Gillislee should watch out for his early down job.

Coleman had a pretty good game. Targeted about 5 times & didn't give up a reception.

Brissett. Yeesh.

BB Either trades Foster to the NFC or keeps him.

The sky is also blue, are you gonna post about that too?

I wish there was a way to convey "i'm really not angry or trying to be a **** I'm just screwing around" cause that's what this post is.
