Unofficial Gomer vs. the Saints thread

I can't wait to see what the predictors of the saints to the superbowl have to say after this game

The Patriots game will be the Colts next game against a playoff team from last year? Dam. I'm going to that game.

Wow...

even that 10 pts by the saints is a mirage. Colts D has only given up 3 pts.

Is it me or does it look like Bush gets tackled real easy? Just touch him and he goes right down.

And everyone talked about how tough the Colts schedule is. Looks pretty dam easy to me.

It's just one game guys, The Colts could though it's a slim chance lose the next 15 games and it's completely possible for the Saints to win the next 15.
The Colts aren't as good as they look and the Saints aren't as bad as they look.

Same old 'Aints!

pick 6
sums up the night.

If the Colts come out and throw I will lead a revolt against them.

Jason David for horse trailer. He's been the best Colt out there.

Ugoh looked HORRIBLE. Addai def can't carry the load, The colts shoudla kept Jason David, Keiaho cant replace Cato June, The defense can't stop the run, AND Marvin Harrison is losing a step!!!!!!!!

I remember someone made a comment earlier in the thread asking why the Colts let Jason David go...............

That was me.

He looked like Duane Starks tonight

Manning made a fool of him.

Well said! Clearly you're smarter than the average Dolts fan.

They all looked good.

If one of them gets hurt

This game was the NO oline vs the Indy dline. The Saints game plan at the start of the game was all short stuff. They knew coming in that their oline wasn't able to match up. When I noticed that and the taking advantage of David part, I thought 'this game is over.'

Edit: This was when the score was 10-7 Saints.

They should have run it b/w the tackles with McCalister more. Otherwise, they would have controlled the clock, and kept Manning on the sidelines.

This is the same reason why they lost to the Bears.

Face it, the Colts are going to be the same Colts. Anyone who thinks that they fell off, should rethink that idea. They can score almost at will and they only need a little defense to help them out. Games like today should be a reminder that. But like I said earlier, they once started a season 13-0 and in another year, Peyton broke the single season TD record. So matter how good they look on any given year, they are still beatable.

Just as I predicted.....the Saints offense would match up poorly with the Colts "fast" defense. A power offense is what is needed to move the ball down the field against Indy. While the Saints certainly have playmakers on offense....they simply lack the overpowering O-line and power back to push the small, but fast Colts defenders around the field.

As far as the Saints defense.....I don't have to comment. They were terrible last year, and look to be just as bad in 2007.

Colts are and will be a tough apponent as expected. But I need to see more...just like I will need to see more of the Pats after Sundays game....win or lose.
