2017 NFL Training Camp Cuts, Signings & Trades

Urschel has a career in high level academic level math waiting for him. He doesn't need football as much as he needs his brain. Like it or not, this is one reason why teams view outside interests as a negative most of the time.

He's also not been a full time starter. His career high for starts has been 7. So kind of a top sub for the OL.

@Miguel made a great tweet today about how he doesn't mind players retiring young because teams will get rid of players at their convenience. I'm inclined to agree. Just some inherent unfairness due to the employer/employee dynamic.

I like seeing Urschel retire, and not because it hurts the loathsome Ravens.

It would be a real shame to see his brilliant mind damaged by the NFL* .

There goes Street. To Patriots South.

Both Urschel and Hawkins were known as some of the most intellectual players in the NFL. I don't think this happening right after the CTE news is a coincidence.

It reminds me of Chris Borland, too. Definitely a small but growing trend of players who have the talent and credentials to excel in careers outside of sports leaving the NFL early.

And that's not a good trend for football . also IQ wise..

Well, you can spend your time wrestling with the problems posed by this McQuistan: The shift operator matrix method applied to the two-dimensional nearest and next nearest neighbor problem

or those posed by this McQuistan:

I suspect the former provides a greater sense of personal satisfaction. And longevity. And hygiene.

Old friend.

Liked Ridley. Uphill battle for him and DEN this yr
I was just wondering the other day what happened to him as I was watching an old clip with him coming out of the tunnel for a game. I really really liked that kid and his future seemed bright before the fumbling. Things looked promising again when he fixed the issue. Then the knee happened and he's never quite been the same. I guess the knee getting blown made an already only moderately speedy player even slower. I hope he sticks somewhere, though. He always seemed like a very genuine human being when he was here, and those are the types I always want to see experience some type of success in life.

Permanently inking a Jets tattoo on your body is a career ender.

Gotta be honest. Now that he's a Bronco, I want him to fumble again 15 times. It seems like he'll be needed for them since Booker's injury looks pretty bad.

Looks like we really did a number on them...

"Good things happen to those who run."

The buffalo bildoes have traded QB Cardale Jones to chargers for a conditional draft pick
I'm still shocked those morons spent a 4th round pick on him to begin with, and I'm a huge OSU fan. That kid is far from being a capable NFL QB.
