Oh gotcha. Yeah this year we may luck out more than most. But usually on average (7 or 8 win seasons) the section I'm talking about go for over 300 each.

I know you're trying to joke the Jets are so bad that tickets are ridiculously cheap, but realistically it's a very short term thing that will change drastically with even a little success or hype. Sucks. Too many rich people and business willing to spend big on good tickets in the region. Even with 38 professional teams in the area.

Yeah, it's a short term thing - that Jets fans have been waiting almost 50 years for.

Oh, and the autographs!! Don't even get me started on how expensive it is to buy autographs when you are a fan of a successful franchise!!

Nobody buys the preseason tickets

That is not true. I have had many people ask me to purchase exhibition tickets. I promise them to people way in advance so I refuse the requests

I'm a STHer too and I don't think I ever got "full value" for a single preseason game I sold, before or after "variable pricing."

As I just told another poster. I have been offered full value before. I just promise them out way in advance. Don't get me wrong Not all the time but on occasions. Mainly people who want to watch certain teams play regardless of it being preseason

I have a question that I couldn't see the answer for on here or online. I'm on the season ticket waitlist and I was under the impression that I get presale access to the single game tickets. I got an email saying they go on general sale on Friday 14th. So am I right in thinking I should be expecting another email saying when the presale is? Just a little confused about the process!

My 4 25ydln season tickets cost 10k in PSLs EACH and $160 each face value for all games including preseason.

When you breakout the PSLs over a 10 year payment plan, those 4 tickets cost me almost $11k per year. Then add in the cost of my 95' Dodge conversion Jet Mobile that is used only for tailgating and accompanying tailgating costs.

We're looking at like $13k a year for 8 regular season games.

Well they used to. I would call or email the ticket office though

They have a pre-sale a few days before the regular sale. You have to buy a pre-season game with a regular game.
They send an email and the sale happens right away.

I'm calling B.S. on that one. Anyone who pays full value for a preseason game just to see that one game must not like money terribly much because as the game gets close, there are plenty o' seats available - and at large discounts - from secondary providers.

When I had season tickets I would NEVER ask face value for tix - usually I'd just give them to a buddy so he could take his kid to a game...if I did "sell" them I'd ask like $20...something filthy about asking someone to pay full boat to watch guys who'll be unemployed in football in 2 weeks

Yup. The only preseason tickets I've ever bought or sold for face (or more) were preseason week 3 Jets vs Midget tickets. When both teams had some positive hype going into the season.

Takes a perfect storm of two good teams with both large fanbases looking for tickets, in what is a annual season/tailgate kickoff tradition.

I'm trying to get 4 tickets for the Falcons game. When I'm unable to buy them on July 14th, will the secondary market prices typically stay as high?

I have seen no evidence that night games bring lower demand. If anything, night games tend to be marquee games, so the quality of opponent increases demand.

Yes the opponents for night games are assumed to be the highest quality going into the season but that can change as the season goes on. Also there always seems to be tickets available on ticket exchange for night games. Check it out this year.edit: obviously banner night and the Superbowl match up with the Falcons are special.

Great idea. I suggest:

Tier 1: Stay Home, Mow the Lawn or Shovel Snow
Tier 2: Come for the Hotdogs and Beer (Bring $$$)
Tier 3: 2018 Draft Anticipation (Suckah!)
Tier 4: Secondary Market Special or Giveaway

In general, I have had a lot more luck on the Ticket Exchange for night games, especially if bad weather is predicted.

Sunday 1:00 games are turning out to be the games that you can't get tickets to from the Ticket Exchange, unless, again, they predict bad weather.
