Cooks. I am so pumped for this guy.

rather repeat 2016 than 2015 i guess
it all started with 'no days off' yell.. (right in D-Mac ear)

Seems like RB:Rex Burkhead was underutilized as a pass catcher in Cincinnati because of Giovani Bernard. The Patriots have some real good Players at the position already in White - Lewis and Foster. I also have no doubt that RB Mike Gillislee can also catch. McDaniels and all these toys are going to give opposing DC's alot to think about.

Typical BB here. You're going to get every other opponent gunning for you every week. Any sign of let up is a sign of lethargy. That ain't gonna happen.

This thread is amazing. Thank you guys for all the updates!!

One thing that's intrigued me is the KR/PR spot. I saw Cooks mentioned as a PR, which would be incredible, but at the same time gives me pause as you're exposing your potential top target to injury.

However, a thought occurred to me - Edelman is potentially one of the best punt returners in history, but has been used sparingly in that role due to the same reason as stated above - exposing your top WR to injury. BUT, this year he is no longer the top WR... Is it possible that BB will be more comfortable letting Edelman return punts with Cooks in the fold? The WR depth chart is also just stacked as it is, so it would be at least a bit easier to absorb an Edelman injury than it would have been in years past (would still suck though.) Is the Edelman injury risk worth the trade-off of fielding a game-breaker at PR?

Both Edelman and Amendola are top punt returners. Yes, with Cooks< Hogan and Mitchell, I could see Belichick using Edelman (and Amendola) as his punt returners.

I'm so excited to see this team play this year! So many young, good and exciting players even from the UDFA-Group.

Nice article on our binkie Foster here:
New England Patriots' D.J. Foster continues to learn both running back and wide receiver positions
__

Sophomores going strong is real:

D.J. Foster made an impressive over-the-shoulder catch on a deep route toward the back corner of the end zone. Brissett placed the ball in a perfect spot, and Foster, facing tight coverage, reeled it in and stayed inbounds while falling to the ground.
__

And this certainly shows:

The 195-pound Foster has not added weight this offseason, but he has shifted his body composition to add more muscle mass.

"Physically, I feel good," Foster said Tuesday. "Definitely taking care of my body more. That was the biggest thing I took away from my rookie year."

__

It will be interesting (and probably a bit painful) to watch RB situation unfold. One would almost call for a minor injury . esp. now with 2 IRs able to return..
Excuse me, what do you mean our?

So who is all in the mix there? Obviously, Flowers and Ninkovich. Rivers, and Ealy, too. How about Wise and Guy? Is the latter a DT? I honestly haven't familiarized myself with either of the last two, yet.

I've seen Guy project inside, but not necessarily as one of the "biggies". And, yes, this would mean than he could play DE is some sets.

I've seen Wise projected to be a developmental pass rusher from the DE spot.

What I find remarkable is that we have good depth, and good quality at the bottom of the depth chart.

DE/OLB: Ninkovich, Rivers
DE: Flowers, Ealy, Wise
DT: Brown, Branch, Valentine, Guy

This may be all we keep. I suppose that we could keep another "biggie".
