Lol pathetic shot at Patriots by NFL

All they had to do is talk about it being a rematch of the conference championship game, the combined number of Lombardi trophies, the two best teams in the AFC year in and year out, etc.

No reason to resort to the injury excuse.

On a side note I'm surprised they portrayed Bell and Edelman rather than Brady and Roethlisberger.

Also interesting that they pump up Bell as the star of the game and don't even mention Brady's name.

Brady doesn't need the limelight....

He just goes out and PERFORMS game after game......

And with this gang on offense, one might expect some high scoring games by the Pats.

By the time this game is played, the Steelers will have a new string of excuses anyway. Roethlisberger will have his token 4 or 5 "nagging injuries" that he is "playing through", etc.

Because everyone knows the result of the week 15 game has everything to do with the AFC Championship game result. #SolidLogic

He was averaging 3.3 per carry before he left. That style is very poorly equipped to go up against a stout, two-gapping run defense.
Didn't he come into the game with a pre-existing [but undisclosed] groin injury? His performance early in the game probably influenced the decision to sit him and avoid doing long term damage.

Lol c'mon man.

Really weird how they made the graphic look like Edelman is trying to tackle Bell. You can barely make out that Edelman's carrying a ball, for instance. The stacking of the photo puts Bell on top of Edelman which makes it look like Edelman is trying to catch up to and maybe to dive at Bell's legs.

[takes off tinfoil hat] Sorry for the overanalysis. It's Friday.

I've heard he's really tough.

It's just the NFL hyping the game. I don't think it's a slight against NE at all.
Thank you.

How would you guys promote the game? "The Pats handled Pittsburgh in a yawner a few months back, this one probably won't be much different. Tune in if you want. Or don't. Whatever."

Eh, they gotta sell the game somehow, and "come watch the Steelers get their skulls stomped in yet again, in the latest of a long line of suspenseless games whose outcomes were never in doubt" just wasn't going to do it. They've gotta sell their product, and a harsh assessment of the facts isn't going to do that. I think it's a pretty huge stretch to read this as the NFL taking a shot at us.

THAT would automatically make me watch.

But, I'm not everybody.

Sorry, but I'd be interested in an example of the NFL not taking shots at us.

...when they praise the NFL-created flying elvis?

If there's one thing the Steelers are known for, it's beating the Patriots with Tom Brady starting at QB.

L bell is extremely talented but patriots is a bad matchup for him cuz patriots d is too disciplined.

Pats run D was pretty damn good last year. Pisses me off how they are getting zero respect.

Typical

I think Patricia handed the league the blueprint on how to slow Bell down. I can't remember where I saw it but there was a breakdown of how the front seven maintained the trenches which nullified Bell's "patient" running style. Anyways I'm curious to see how other teams will defend Bell this season.

Didn't realize bell was injured in last years championship game since he wasn't on their injury report.

It's not a shot against the Patriots it's the NFL attempting to make a lopsided matchup that almost always ends in our favor seem like something worth watching.
