Solid move. Win-win.
WR roster cut downs will be interesting to see, if/when anyone flashes a lot of potential during training camp.
Cooks
Edelman
Mitchell
Hogan
Amendola
Slater
The # of WR on the final roster has been 6 each of the last 3 seasons. There are 6 guys listed above - any cuts likely? Who's your first cut?
A couple weeks after the Superbowl win, I still really enjoyed watching Gronk highlights from 2014. I particularly love this one:Its so ridiculous seeing that list of receivers, and then reminding myself that we have Gronk ROFL
This is why I'm glad DA is back. Among other things.
Danny Amendola was never the Wes Welker replacement we had hoped for when we signed him. But he's given us more clutch plays than we could've expected.
Also says he saw the market and was unlikely to make more $ elsewhere.Regardless of how much he was due to make vs. production, it says a lot about his character and how much he loves playing for the Pats to take a pay cut 3 consecutive years.
Looks like about $4M savings as he was scheduled for $6M and sounds like he'll get about $2M.
