Rowe is well ahead of him at this point in their careers anyway.
Jmac is cooked.
Only reason Tennessee even tried to get him to renegotiate his contract was for his professionalism, and locker room presence...Not his ability.
The pats don't need locker room guys...They have more than enough.

I guess time will tell. Two piping hot takes in one post.
As opposed to a guy who hasn't done jack, in two years?Looking how inconsistent Rowe played last year I'd say "well ahead" is a huge stretch.

Yeah I'd say Rowe is light years ahead.
And younger...And been in the system.
Do the math.
A 5-2-5 set? Patriots played a majority of snaps with 12 men on the field? Sounds like another scandal in the works.Manxman reviewed film at the end of last year and noticed they played a majority (obviously not all) of their defensive snaps in a 5-2-5 set. During those times, Chung was a safety but essentially played linebacker; the additional secondary role rotated between an additional free safety (Harmon) or a 3rd corner (Ryan on the inside with Rowe on the outside).
Point is that if the Pats continue to play this defense, and if they think he could play safety, it pretty much has zero impact on Chung. Chung would be impacted if, say, the Pats drafted Jabrill Peppers.
How bout 4-2-6 when Sherman comes over?A 5-2-5 set? Patriots played a majority of snaps with 12 men on the field? Sounds like another scandal in the works.

I don't recall one poster suggesting Sherman would be a slot corner...Could you please, sir, reference who said this?I mostly agree with you about Rowe. But I wrote that partly based on "future projection"; Rowe is one of only 3 cbs in the NFL at 6' or taller, who had outstanding 3cone quickness- which usually translates in a cb to the ability to cover smaller, quicker wrs. Btw, Gilmore is one of the other two- so the Pats now have,on paper, 2 of the only 3 tall cbs who should be able to cover the slot.( Something Sherman doesn't do well, despite the clueless posts of some here).
So far,Rowe has not done much of that, but he's still young-and I'm guessing BB will help him reach his potential. So you're right-BUT, he has the skills to cover the slot- may just be a matter of reps.( Btw,his coverage on that Julio Jones incredible catch was perfect).
Dude, no one suggested that. In several other threads ,however, several posters said Sherman could stick anyone. Which is ********. He has limitations.I don't recall one poster suggesting Sherman would be a slot corner...Could you please, sir, reference who said this?
Thank you.

I don't even know what the criticism is, in all honesty on how I post...but enlighten me.
