Jimmy for #12 this year

Send them #12 and Amendola for Sherman.

There, solved all the problems.

12th pick in the draft and DA for 29 year old Sherman coming off a down year and his $22m on the 2 year deal? Madness.

Try DA and 3rd rounder for Sherm and nothing more.

Pom Pom is smoking crack with his trade demands

Seattle has been taking drugs. An entire town of insomniac, seasonally depressed, backwards dressing, poor taste slobs. I say we pay them to keep their tripe and refuse out there.

A down Sherman year is better than gilmore's best season!

No way is Sherman worth more than a third round pick, if he agrees To restructure his contract or Seattle eats a big chunk of it.

Trade Jimmy G for 12, 52 and 2018 2nd
Trade Butler to NO for a 2nd and a 3rd
Trade 12 for Sherman

This is how I see the entire situation; The Pats do nothing in terms of trades with Seattle and roll out with Gilmore Butler and Rowe.

Or, trade Butler and get Sherman and pair him with Rowe and Gilmore, this scenario is my personal preference. Either way, Pats will be sitting pretty whether they make moves or not.

He questioned the coaching staff last year. Specifically, he questioned the offensive play calling. That's why they want to get rid of him. I can't see sherman doing that to a 5X super bowl HC.

I actually read an andy benoit article that says his outburst have very little to do with it. He is losing flexibilty in his hips...and having problems making the swivel move to turn and cover receivers. This is the first sign that you are in decline as a corner. Add that to the fact he was getting beat all last year and they are shopping him. Anyways the pats arent interested anymore so all this is moot.

Yep. His age and contract do not justify a high pick.

But as a elite CB it justifies something of high value in return

Well it looks like Sherman wants out of Seattle and is working on getting traded to a contender. The only teams that make sense are NE, GB, ATL, Dal, OAK. I doubt very much that seattle will trade him to an NFC team so....that leaves NE or Oak. If sherman wants out, I think he may end up here. Seattle wants a lot but will ultimately give up when they can't find a team willing to give up a boatload. If Sherman is unhappy in Seattle he will make life miserable for them.

Richard Sherman is involved in trade effort, wants to go to a contender

Interesting, but I find it very hard to believe that a 29 year old CB is losing his skills. I would expect this at age 32 or 33.

I guess his MCL had nothing to do with it?

Nice. Haven't been to this thread for a while. We've gotten to imagery of weird foods and garbage, I see. I love this sort of thing. (No, I am not being facetious.)

Blanket condemnations of the entire population of major cities. Accusations of dementia induced by insomnia. Charges of "backwards dressing." (I'm guessing that's some kind of anti-plaid rant.)

Everybody knows that excessive rain induces penile inadequacy. Thought I'd throw that in. Also, they are overrun with junkies, and ain't nobody with a more stupid lifestyle than a junkie. (Please, spare me that Addiction-as-Disease nonsense. There's only one cause of addiction: stupidity.)

Let's see. Oh yeah. Women are lousy drivers. Lutherans dress like s--t. I am unaware of a single Muslim who is not a rational and benign person.

That's all for now: keep up the good work.

And no, I am not being facetious when I say I am not being facetious. Let's not overanalyze fercrissake.

I cant trade 12 for sherman I take the best pass rusher or receiver on the board in that scenario.

With a Sherman on the number 1 WR and Gilmore on number 2 wit Him McCourty in the back field our pass rush would be good as is. Cooks eliminated any WR concerns so I wouldn't draft one early and I'm taking a too 3 CB over a RB.

Honestly, I don't think it's that crazy.

The Bucs gave up #13 overall for a 27-year-old Darrell Revis (coming off a torn ACL) and then payed him $16M for the one season he played there.

Now let me be completely clear, I am absolutely, wholeheartedly against trading anything remotely close for that for Sherman, but that type of compensation wouldn't be unprecedented. There are a lot of parallels.

We are not the Bucs though.
But I hear you

Unless DA agrees to restructure for the Hawks, no way in hell they take on that salary.
If you want to trade a WR in a package for Sherman it's probably gonna be Mitchell...And I'm sure most here won't like that.

I don't think they'll get that, but it's perfectly reasonable to me that they've made that as their starting point. I'd have done the same thing.
