"A Darrelle Revis return to New England looks increasingly likely. Numerous league sources, including some close to Revis, believe that if the potential future Hall of Fame corner plays anywhere in 2017 it will be for the Patriots"

Think it is more likely Revis Inc. wants to leverage the NE angle to be back in the spotlight and be talked about.

Only would make sense if Butler leaves and even then you'd essentially sacrifice Rowe for it. Neither Revis nor Rowe have the tool set to play well inside.

I just don't see the fit.. unless it is for very, very cheap..

Well he gets $6 million for sitting home paid for by Mr. Johnson, so a $1 million contract means he gets $6 million, 5 of which are paid for by the Jets....

It would be the ultimate slap to the Jets' face. I was initially against him coming here for a second go 'round. But I've warmed to the idea of him coming here for dirt cheap while the Jets break off like $6mil for him.

Cheap?

How much is a roster spot worth?

Wouldn't it be awesome if he came back and we won another Super Bowl? Jets fans would jump off a bridge.

Aren't there other veteran CBs more deserving of a shot at a ring?

Besides, there are many other ways to gets Rats fans to jump off a bridge.

My on field take:

He was #1 in the NFL in comp pct. against and top 10 passer rating against in 2015. If you get him on a weight loss program, he could be the best version of Dennard/Browner/Ryan in our system.

I didn't watch him last year, but I suspect the slot is Revis' best chance. He might have lost a step or two of speed, but has he lost his quickness?
