All quiet on Hightower front or Dont'a-do-it FA tour

Reminder that Schefter reported a few hours ago that he's still negotiating with Pittsburgh, in addition to the Jets and the Pats. So whatever ultimatum Pittsburgh gave isn't being applied yet.

here is his tweet (again, from a couple hours ago):

The Jets are otherworldly pathetic. Like, holy s.hit. They exist just to annoy.
If the Browns can get their **** together, they might not be the punchline of the league anymore.
Who knew?

No, man. None whatsoever. Well, I mean, you can see a change of color to white on the lawn, but I really wouldn't even consider it "a dusting." Just windy.
You got really lucky then... seems like my corner of the state is the epicenter of the crap. Probably spent 8 full hours across 5 shoveling sessions just clearing my front porch, back deck and my garage entrance, repeatedly.

As far as after taxes Hightower would make the same with the Pats at $11m per as he would at $12m per for the jests.
Wonder how it works if they live in New York (because who wants to live in Jersey?). Might get nailed twice.

Another day and likely hightower won't be signed. Has zach brown had any interest from other teams?

Is it crazy that I miss this and would trade S. FL weather for it most days?

Not if the blue losers in MA succeed in their latest attempt to get rid of MA's flat tax system.

If it's like most states the state of residence will give him a dollar-for-dollar credit on income tax paid to another state, up to the tax the state of residence imposed on the income. The net result is that you end up paying the higher of your residence state's income tax or the income tax of the state you work in.

Both La Canfora and Cimini report the Jets are offering the most money, but that Hightower still seems inclined to return to New England.
I wonder how much money it would take for me to work in a smelly swamp with boos raining down on me all day ...

I can't post Mike Reiss' tweets for whatever reason, but he's basically saying that Hightower is closing in on his decision, that he expects we'll know by tomorrow, and that the Patriots are trying to keep him.
