Does it mean anything? This is the time where big moves happen and you are hearing about everything but the only rumor you haven't heard much of all week has been Jimmy G. It seems to be on the back burner with a deal out there no one is matching with no movement.

Just worth pointing out.

Patriots seem to be focusing on other things right now...

Hard to tell : I would like to think teams would be interested. But who can you really trust (reports) at this time of year ?

Not really. Team's don't wanna pay up. It was laughable what the bears did. Same with the 49ers but oh well. I expect the browns to pony up soon.

I'm just still stunned at the money Mike Glennon is getting from Chicago. It makes no sense, he sucks. I'd rather go with Matt Barkley if I was them, at least he's got some talent. But Jimmy G would've been perfect for them.

Thread title? You missin' an "a" key, bro?

People have to wake up to the fact that they are not trading him.

BB wants to compete for the next decade, not just the next couple years. JG will be the next QB of the Pats, either in the 18 or 19 season.

I think it comes down to how desperate the Browns get. It's starting to look good for them that Trubisky or Watson will fall to 12. The question is, how do they feel about them.

The option exists to trade Jimmy G closer to the preseason or even during the season, when you've had a chance to see this year's draftees and a chance to feel out how Brissett is doing and whether he's ready for primary backup duty.

There is no rush here. In fact unless someone really steps up to the plate with a killer offer I don't expect the Pats to trade Jimmy G before the draft, or even before the preseason is over. Too many factors that add unnecessary risk to the equation and time is not a factor. Let some time evaluate its options at QB in the preseason, go "oh holy *****ing **** this will never do!" and make a desperation deal.

Smart money would be to wait the year and see if he gets released.

for most teams, sucking another year is expected...

The Patriots are being teasers. Looks like the Browns are prepared to offer
the #12 pick this year and multiple #2s next year. It's nice to have him next year
as insurance but the compensation might drop to a compensatory pick.

Well lack of news was hours and hours ago. A ton of news Now. I would be surprised if we don't hear something in the next 48 hours.
