This concerns me a little as regards Butler's long-term future here. I doubt BB wants two big money contracts at the CB position.

Agree. He improved the most as a nickel corner. As a CB2 playing on the outside, he was still somewhat of a liability. There was no way the Pats were going to pay him what he's likely to get on the market.

Gilmore is a solid #1 CB so as a #2 in New England that's a fine pick up. (yes, he did get torched by Hogan...I'm sure the video will end up in this thread )

Whoa wtf? I was worried about losing Ryan and what they'll do in the secondary without him... I didn't expect them to UPGRADE from Ryan... Happy to have him though. He can be a little mouthy IIRC but he is pretty good.

Damn. I'm shocked. I hope they didn't blow a ton of money on him while Butler remains unsigned.
