Bob Kraft on the 'haters'

Those who have seen it or will get to see it will note that at the very end during his dialogue with Andrea Kramer, Gumbel sneaks in a cheap shot... typical...

I wouldn't worry about that. Bryant Gumball knows virtually nothing about sports. I didn't know he was still on tv until I read this thread. His stint on NFL Network was comical.

He's talking salty now that it means nothing. When it might have meant something, he jumped into the barrel, and he threw his QB to the wolves, for the good of the "full 32" a/k/a his wallet.

Don't fall for the salesman ********. If he had to choose again, Kraft would hop right back into that barrel.

No question.

This was a jab at the owners and league office wonks who have a problem with the Pats.

This changes nothing.

When the s--t hits the fan and the league comes after the NEP or a player again, we know what side Bob will be on.

"James Orthwein is from the NFL, and if he says this team needs a makeover then he MUST be right."

He's "fooled me" more than once. He's pulled this **** before, time and again. It's sad to see how gullible people are.
The false ball-deflation accusations were invited, encouraged by "Thank you sir, may I have another?" Kraft.

The cat got out of the bag for real on April Fool's Day, 4/1/08, when after everything that happened in the previous seven months, Kraft stood in front of the other league owners and...tearfully apologized.

I'm trying to picture Judah Ben-Hur meeting Messala before the chariot race and...tearfully apologizing...

The Patriots remind me of a young orphan whose adoptive father corroborated local and national media diatribes about how his natural parents were abusive and abandoned him. Later, after he becomes hugely successful and is victimized by false media propaganda himself, he realizes the lies told about his background were based on utter ignorance, hatred and contempt. Besides being totally pissed off at the cowardly, lying adoptive father, he is grateful to know he has a large, extended loving family with a rich history, many of whom are still around, that is loyal to him, win or lose.

That's quite the an analogy!

Most Patsfans like Kraft. No ones perfect and look at his track record since buying the team.

So he disappointed you...get over it

Maybe Kraft was naive 20 months ago and didn't see or want to see the rampant jealousy and the anti-Patriot and anti-Kraft sentiment among his fellow owners and 345 Park Ave. People close to the other owners already blatantly told him "we don't like you, we are with the commissioner and if you want to fight him on this then you're on your own"

I think his quote about envy and jealousy is telling. Perhaps he sees all of this now and hopefully we never hear nonsense again like "Roger is doing a great job!". At least I'd like to think so.

Gumbel should stick to the race baiting commentary, it's what he does best.

You don't have to be "gullible" to give someone, who has done great things for a New England institution, a second chance when he admits he erred. You do have to be vigilant though..."trust but verify."

Where is the flying pig smilie?

Until someone shows me actual grounds for a winning lawsuit by Kraft I'm going to continue to believe you people are just having a 2+ year temper tantrum because our owner didn't engage in a losing yet kinda cathartic lawsuit. Every article I've read which attempts to tackle the merits of his lawsuit options makes the chances of winning seem slim to none, I'd love to see an alternative view but every time I ask for this all I get is more emotion-based flip out posts.

My problem with Kraft, and I've stopped defending him as much, stems from his post-deflategate comments about Goodell doing a good job. Maybe he's just playing the game but that crossed a line for me. I'm still glad he's our owner because his decisions got us where we are now, but don't ****ing compliment Goodell, dude.

farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt

The team had the right to an appeal and they passed that up. Don't go telling me "we had no other options" after you declined to exercise the option you did have.

One of the reasons that a lawsuit was such a poor option is that, having already declined to exercise the team's right to an appeal, they couldn't then go looking for relief from an outside party. Also, the lack of a team appeal put Brady's appeal in a position where they were completely unable to make any headway on the "violation never happened" front because the team essentially admitted guilt by not appealing. That left Brady with nothing but, "they must have done it without my knowledge".

More fnord straw man crap.

There are plenty of things Bendover Bob could have done w/o a lawsuit that would have indicated he was something other than Bendover Bob:
  • Done the internal appeal (doomed though it may have been) so people couldn't say "he knew it happened -- he didn't even appeal."
  • Not made that ridiculous "we accept it" speech.
  • Not constantly playing kissyface with Roger.
  • Being way more supportive of Brady from the beginning. I still remember his ridiculous "Well, I hope those players who deserve to play will be playing" remark before the 2015 opener. The loser couldn't even mention Brady by name.
  • Going on a real PR offensive.
  • Not kowtowing to the "here are the real PSI numbers but you can't tell anyone -- hahahaha" letter from the NFL.
People here can think of plenty of other non-lawsuit stuff that could have happened.

Not that I disagree with your principle point (I don't), but on this particular one -- if Kraft did that, we would be out this year's 1st round pick and possibly next year's 1st round pick as well. Goodell is that vindictive.

Nothing more disgusting than multimillionaires consumed by envy and jealousy.

Oh please the ego's on these guys and gals must be astronomical.. and all because most of them hit the lucky sperm lotto.

Envy and Jealousy is probably more embedded in these greedy souls than the normal guy making 40-60k a year.
