Sorry, but to me Pat is a quaint relic of a long gone time, one with a lot more lows than highs. I sympathize with those who feel we should value those long gone times more highly than most of us do, but no where near enough to make me want Pat back as the logo.

I don't want to beam back to the days of the aluminum benches and parking in the mud. It's OK, we can have nice things now!

I started following the team in the mid 70's and it's always been Pat Patriot for me. Those white unis were awesome.

While the Flying Elvis Logo is more associated with success and the Pat Patriot logo is more associated with the team being a laughingstock, I've always kind of liked how the Pat Patriot Logo looks.

Pat's my childhood fandom. Love him. don't care. Flying Elvis, thank you. At least our kids will know what the Man in the Mountain looks like before it crumbles away.

I vote: Ray Lewis killed a guy.

You forgot to mention the short-lived Super Patriot.

He was popular, briefly, then the mascot had a motorcycle accident and they Kryptonited him.

P.S. Back in the 70's, IIRC, the Pats asked the fans at a game (maybe more than one) to choose between Pat Patriot and a new logo, which they painted in the end zone as well. Pat crushed it... but the design is eerily familiar...

You have to go home with the logo that brought you to the dance. The Flying Elvis is the face of the dynasty. Pat Patriot was not. Let's move on.

That may be true... but OTOH, not only does the Bible still include the Old Testament... but it comes first in every copy.

Edit: I see you disliked this. LOL... I would have thought it a nice comparison... Pats fans and the Lord's people wandering through the desert... crying out for a savior.... and then they both get one.

I'm part of the younger generation (25) so I'm obviously biased towards the Flying Elvis. Ever since I can remember, the Pats have been the icon for sustained success so I associate the logo with dominance and happiness.

I do love the Pat the Patriot logo and have several of the throwback red jerseys but the appeal is more "cute" than anything resembling intimidating/forceful. The Flying Elvis brings with it an intimidating and dominating type vibe.
