Yeah even with bad elements i see pitt winning. Its crazy how easy its been for them to run the ball in this streak theyve had, and theyve played solid defensively.

Thats why im probably rooting for kc here. And pitts / bens achilles has been playing on the road. If they can show they can go on the road against a great team and play a good game, they will be s tough out. Still feel supremely confident playing either, but id say pitt would be the more dangerous team.

I think K.C. will pull this one out.

I don't want to play either one of them--forget any history we may have with either.

I will say that I prefer K.C. in bad weather.

Its going to be bad weather on Sunday. Been bad weather for a month.

Missouri is not Florida.

As long as Andy Reid holds the clipboard, I just cannot take KC seriously in a big game. I'm picking the Steelers to win due to some bad clock management at the end of the game by Reid. I want KC to win and face the Pats for the same reason.

Andy Reid won big games to reach the Super Bowl

He's a good coach who is not an elite one.

If the Pats dont bring their A game just like Chris says, Reid will be elite when he leaves Foxboro with the AFCC trophy.

I want KC because Andy Reid eventually falls apart in the Post Season and I want him to hold on for one more game...

...but in my heart of hearts, I'm afraid that the Pats are the only team that's going to stop the three B's: Ben, Bell and Brown.

A- will do. They'll have their hands full with Pitt.

The Chiefs are a good team but let's not get carried away by making them better than they are.

Who is Chris?

Man the weather forecast for this game is looking terrible...

I am leaning towards Chiefs. I believe that if we beat Chiefs in AFCCG we can feel a bit more confident going into the Superbowl. They're playing well in all 3 phases. If DAL makes it to SB, I think it'll be a similar kind of game.

Slows down their passing offense yes but Bell would thrive. Espcially that derrick johnson is out. Frankly I think he is the most important player between both teams. Steelers can win if ben is crap as long as bell can run.

Again, it's not that simple. KC has won some key games despite giving up a ton of rushing yards. They're good in the red zone and they're good at generating turnovers and capitalizing on opponents' mistakes. If Ben plays like crap and throws a couple of INTs, as he is prone to do on the road (especially in bad weather), they aren't likely to win regardless of how well Bell plays.

Pittsburgh could definitely win, but they're going to have to play much better on the road than they have all year, and they can't make any mistakes, because KC will make them pay. I hope Pittsburgh does win, but I don't see it. (Although I feel comfortable with NE playing either team.)

I totally agree.

But the on the flipside it's always a very uneasy feeling if your team relies heavily on turnovers and ST returns as much as Kansas does this year. Usually the playoffs are the place where you meet opponents that can prevent both from happening.

I have no clue how this game will go and haven't read anything yet that convinces me to root for either one of the teams over the other to make next week's AFCCG easier for us.

I agree, but given the weather, and Big Ben's performance on the road, I wouldn't be surprised to see them force a few turnovers.

It would be much harder for them to do next week in Foxboro, however.

It's an interesting game because both teams seem like a divisional round loss kind of team. Pittsburgh is ok but are severely overrated because the skill players are good but the guys who really decide games are mediocre.
KC has pulled out a lot of close games and they deserve credit for that but having a low octane offense and a defense that struggles to stop people when they don't get turnovers is usually the type of team that gets no farther than this.
I think the game is going to be decided by big plays. Both teams rely on them. Special teams plays, turnovers, and 50+ yard plays will send one of these teams on, for just one more game.

The chiefs can't stop the run but the steelers are an awful road team. I've been on the fence about this one all week. I'll take the steelers because they have the better quarterback, are more built to play from behind and they have the better coach in terms of game management

If you look at the pats, they have had a lot of turnovers on defense and been lucky with recovering fumbles. Like both the denver and miami game, we had to produce a red zone turnover to stop them .Until then they were moving the ball well. So the uneasy feeling of relying on turnovers applies to an extent to us as well .I hope the trend continues.

I've watched a lot of Steelers ball and i don't think they are elite. Ben is a great QB, but is clearly banged up. I like their O-Line and Bell is a workhose, but i think they can contain the Steelers offense. KC has a big advantage in STs. The Steelers defense is ok, but not great. It's in KC, my guess is that the Chiefs win 20-17

Would a major ice storm cause this game to be delayed ?

Sorry I don't see the similarity that you mention and definitely disagree that we need turnovers as much as KC does.

Against Miami we were up 27-14 8 minutes before the end when that fumble recovery happened. That was not a tight game, we most certainly didn't win because of that turnover and Miami was not moving the ball particularly great all game.

The Broncos turnover happened right at the start of the second quarter in a game where we didn't risk much by design (i.e. kept everything on the ground to avoid their secondary). While the turnover certainly helped it was also the only drive the Broncos were able to advance on us in almost the entire game.
