Not the Dolphins, they are likely to lose to Pittsburgh. No clue on Houston and Oakland. Guessing Houston based on better defense.
That's where my money is at

Just glad the Pats are not on NBC, due to the issue with Channel 7 in Boston. It's another thing that's breaking our way this season.

Ok, that would make sense. I thought there was an 'every other year AFC vs NFC' pattern to the timeslots but then the NFC had the 8 PM timeslots two years in a row (CAR at SEA in 2014, GB at ARI in 2015) so I figured the patterns were out the window and it was just best matchup.
Yeah, that was the part I wasn't sure about (how do they pick which network/matchup gets which slot?)

? We beat KC at home after the bye last year....

I think he was referring to the advantage the teams have who win in the Divisional round on a Saturday.

They have one more day of rest before the important conference championship game.....not to mention the luxury of being able to scout the other team while watching their game on Sunday.

Unfortunately, it didn't help us last year.

I think he meant Saturday home playoff games. The extra day is Friday while the other team travels to get here. Last year I believe the Pats flew out west on Thursday.

I think he means the 8 days between beating KC at home and losing in Denver.

Actually the Pats will have a triple advantage. The play Saturday (at home) after a two-week break and then don't have to play again until 8 days later. Their opponent plays Sunday after having played the previous week and then has to play on Saturday (short week) plus travel to Foxboro.

And proceeded to lose to Denver....so the extra day after the saturday divisional didn't help. But we don't need to travel this time, as @The Brandon Five pointed out.

Hoping for a physical game between KC and Pitt. Then, as you say, it's a short week for the winner of that one.

Just as i was about to post that houston had a QB it dawned on me that no they don't they have osweiler.

Love night games. The crowd is twice as drunk and twice as loud (which means I'm 4 times as drunk and 6 times as loud).

I wouldn't completely count Miami or Oakland out. Pittsburgh will have a big advantage with homefield and the cold weather, but Big Ben is the type of QB that Miami's defense has played fairly well against. He tends to hold on to the ball longer than a lot of QBs, which should give Miami's DL enough time to make some plays. Miami's offense has been playing pretty well of late as well.

Additionally, I see Oakland pulling out a win if Osweiler starts.
