The Colts is the best job by a mile if they fire Pagano and Grigson, Luck has actually quietly had a nice rebound season and is only 27 and the division they play in is horrible, competent coach and GM could have that team in double digit wins in no time also Irsay will be handing the franchise over to his daughters when he dies in about a year of an overdose.

Jaguars i'm not sold on Bortles at all, every single week he's horrible until they're down 30 points then he puts 200 yards and 2 TDs up in the final 10 minutes and everyone sees their fantasy scores and thinks he's good, plus you have to play in London every season.

Rams is a good location by the Rams aren't even the most watched team in LA and i don't like what i see from Goff.

Bills - please, same division as Brady and Belichick and owners who are constantly asking players things behind the coaches back.

San Diego in a brutal division and Rivers isn't getting any younger and the team is probably going to move soon.

Josh would take the Colts job in a heartbeat if he was offered it, despite the history with the Patriots over deflategate, he couldn't turn that job down it's probably the easiest division to quickly turn into a playoff team in the NFL, he would probably take the Rams and Jaguars too, especially if he thought Bortles was salvageable.

I laugh at these posts that start with "Josh wouldn't" Josh has to be about Josh not making the Patriots and Bill happy, his second chance is his last chance if he has to take a job at a Patriots rival that will upset Bill and ruin their relationship that's what he will and should do.

It would be nice if the Pats could get McDaniel to sign an agreement that if he signed on with Indy, the Ravens, or the Rats, the Pats would get those team's 1st and 4th round draft picks.

Pats could pay him a financial inducement to accept that restriction.

Colts is the easier job vs the rest. However McDaniels may not do it because of deflategate. He's loyal to BB

I dont think Mcdaniels would ever accept a job from Indy without BBs consent.
You dont burn your bridges in the NFL.
Eapecially someone who has been a great a mentor as BB.
I dont think he forgets BB welcomed him back with open arms when St Louis showed him the door.
In my opinion if the current coaches stay in place its Jacksonville or LA or Josh stays.
Daboll is Mcdaniels in house replacement groomed and ready.
However I would of course prefer Josh.
If Josh does stay next year no matter whats reported he has to have his eye as BB's heir.
However that could of course be Patricia who is fielding a very good defense and have made it thru alotnof injuries.
That being said Patricia could leave for a Buff or other job if opened if you recall he interviewed for the Dolphins job.
My guess is his loyalty to BB isnt as strong as Josh's put together Josh's family ties to the area.
I think Josh stays unless he is enamored with LA and they want him to be the next coach.
If Payton is fired from new Orleans which I dont think he will or should be, that instantly would be the most attractive job.
Ive heard rumors about Payton to LA Rivera to LA.
Couple that with Shannahan who has done wonders with Atlantas offense and his dads pedigree.
Shan could be in line for LA or Jac and even be more attractive than Josh.

Bottom line no one knows anything.

I've gone from one or both coordinators possibly gone this year to neither this year.
Reason: Best situation, Bears is not likely open as we had thought.
Woulda been great for Josh.
Same with Cincy, no longer open.
Of the remaining, Buffalo is OUT with horrid ownership and a moronic GM
LA is iffy with really challenging QB & cap issues
Even IF Colts opened with both GM & HC, ownership is unacceptable.
Jax could be decent, but I think Coughlin takes it.
If not, then maybe Josh.

We have six vacancies, so next years hot seats

  • Jets
  • Colts
  • Browns
  • Bengals
  • Saints?

The HC firings are over - maybe.

Saying maybe because the late Al Davis waited a month after Black Monday to fire someone. That screwed him and his victim since by that time all the candidates already took offers.

Just thinking about would Irsay do something like this?
