My best friend here in Denver got picked up! How much of a fan are you! Not drinking and driving. Just a couple drinks... Will you support the team?

Jamies thinks he has 12 seconds to throw the ball

I thought this was an incredible game by the patriots defense.

They really came to play and showed me something, that is for sure.

On offense, we left a lot of plays out there.

1.) looking for the home run ball, Brady left some easy big yardage dump off give-me's not taken advantage of.

2.) mason is an incredible run blocker, but still sucks in pass protection.

3.) Bennett needs to rest that ankle, he looks bad out there on one leg.

4.) I know offensive line coaches do not play, but the job Dante has done this year is beyond incredible. Cannon is unrecognizable from last year. Thuney is an amazing find.

A little selective, but still pretty relevant for context

Not concerned about the pass O, that pass D is sick, Marietta had like a 30% comp percentage and threw for 90yds last week at home. Screw the stats get the W and get the hell out of Dodge. Great win, loved it!

I had my back turned - who was miked up and saying "Mother F***ERS" on that one play?

A Squirrel with a massive attitude.

Were they taking cheap shots (seemed like that kind of reaction)? Or just a general swear at the donkeys thing? Camera pulled away and I didn't see.

Scoring plays are automatically reviewed. Since it wasn't called a scoring play, it wasn't reviewed. Pats would have had to challenge, which they chose not to do

It's possible the Patriots didn't challenge because they didn't see the replay of Lewis extending the ball over the goal line that was shown on TV. I've heard of road teams complaining that the home team either doesn't show a replay of a borderline play or shows it too late for a team to decide to challenge. That could be the case here. All the Patriots knew for sure was that Lewis extended the ball at some point, lost it and got it back.

Contraction of could have is could've. When pronounced, sounds like could of.

Because it sounds like "could've."

I get that. I was just wondering if because of the similar phonetics "could of" has become a commonly used phrase like "y'all" which is similarly just plain wrong grammar. But I guess it's more a sign of the decline in education than anything being just an accepted regional term.

And it's inexplicable how someone didn't get that down to BB in time. That should have been reviewed. Not that it mattered in the end. Blount scored on the next play.

Wish one of the beat reporters would have asked about it. Doubt we would have gotten a straight answer from BB but there had to be a communication breakdown (technical or human) between upstairs and the bench. Another thing to clean up.. as usual good that it happened now and not in the playoffs, time to figure out what went wrong..

Mitchell has been good but let's see if he can have a bounce back game against the jests. I want this kid to be something. Many thought the same thing about dobson and he flamed out.

Mitchell played his role good enough occupying Harris most of the night. Again, if gameplan clearly says X there is no reason to blame players for Y. It's like blaming Blount for a quiet evening even though he was clearly not the main focus of our running game plan.

Overall it's a positive that we didn't have to use half of our receivers because it shows that Josh and BB came up with the right approach and we never really got into a situation where we had to become desperate.

Finally, the way he caught his one target in this game already shows me all I need to know to say that he will be substantially better than Dobson.

Once again you have to consider the context..

Isn't that one of Ernie Adams' jobs though, in terms of watching the TV feed and communicating what he sees? Sure seems like that's what's happening around the league, as many coaches either throw the flag or take a timeout when the TV replay has been shown.

Maybe the rumors of Ernie's involvement aren't true, but the acronym IVR--Ernie is written on the phone. I just assumed it stood for instant video replay or instant video review.

I agree, although it does seem like this happens a couple/few times a year. I think Bill has mentioned that the difficulty lies with him being able to get the right angle of sight, etc, so it seems as though his opinion is taken into account even after hearing from upstairs.

I remember a game at Heinz field back in 2011 where Gronk scored with about 4 min left, yet Belichick claimed that he didn't get a good enough look at it, so they ended up wasting a lot of time before finally scoring again. Obviously, I'm assuming more issues on the road, but I'm pretty sure we've missed some at home too.

Greetings,
Many of the last few games have not been pretty, but at the end of the day this team gets the job done. That Denver defense was no joke and they made us work for everything, but our boys pulled through. Nice to get a tough win, especially in a place where we tend to struggle the most. Nice to see the D pull it together, even with all the changes made on it!!
