Blasphemy this week

I'll root for the Jets but don't expect anything other than a loss. As someone mentioned it just a hurts their draft position and hurts the fish, win win.

Remember that a Jets "win" hurts their draft position. Still, I can't get myself worked up for the game, especially since I've come to appreciate that all the Patriots teams that were good enough to win the Super Bowl didn't need help.
That's pretty much who I am. I don't care all that much, just want to see who does the most embarrassing **** in the game.

Here's the thing:

with Denver's clear decline and no chance for home field int he playoffs,

with Seattle's loss of Earl Thomas, and now Michael Bennett, perhaps,

after watching a desperate Baltimore team come to the Razor and get dominated in all phases of the game - a game that could have been 30+ to 3 in the 4th if not for a goofy screw-up by Brady and two uncharacteristic back-to-back fumbles,

after watching Dallas and the Giants in their ****show,

the only team that scares me is: .

That's it. Just .

There is only one reason to watch this game, it's to bathe in schadenfreude. This will be a top-end Japanese mineral spa's worth of pure, mountain schadenfreude, flowing from on high and bubbling up from below. There will be a veritable cornucopia of football incompetence and ugliness. Raise your goblets and guzzle the glorious nectar of our pathetic "opponents". Matt Moore! Bryce Petty! Saturday Night Football!

If I had to choose I'd root for Miami. That would possibly take a WC spot away from either Baltimore or Pittsburgh depending on which one wins the North. If Miami loses both have a chance to get in.

Why? We dominated them.
Yes, we did, and we may or may not next time.

Are you of the opinion that Denver and its quarterback are more of a treat to us in our house?

Are you kidding? If I could play play those scumbuckets every game game for the rest of the season, I'd sign up for that in a minute. I would see BOTH Pittsburgh and Miami (with Tannyhill) as bigger threats than those frauds. Pittsburgh is the only team I have even a marginal fear of, because they are so streaky, and in any game they can put up huge offensive numbers....or not.

On first thought, having the Jets win would lower their draft pick, but knocking out Denver AND the Ravens in the same week would be pretty cool too. Seems like one of those no lose situations.
I agree denver at foxborough has little chance. I would avoid division teams because it can be fluky and because when we have close games vs division teams we say "division game"

I rooted for the Jets once in my life, it was the last game of the year in 2008 when Brady was hurt and we needed the Jets to win so we would make the playoffs. Brett Favre was the QB. The Jets lost.

Do you know how much it sucks to root for the Jets and Brett Favre and then they lose? That was horrible. No way am I rooting for them tonight again!!

On one hand you want to root for the gay fish so they keep pressure on Denver. On the other you kind of want to see the Jets win out so they keep Todd Bowles

J E T S JETS JETS JETS!

My youngest son and I were chanting that in Charlotte at the Pats' last game of the year in 2001. It was a rainy day and we took over the Panthers' stadium with a few thousand other Pats fans. The Jets were playing Oakland and we needed them to win to give us a home game in the playoffs. They did and the rest is history.

That's pretty much who I am. I don't care all that much, just want to see who does the most embarrassing **** in the game.

You've made me see the Light! Bless you!

Yes, we did, and we may or may not next time.

I don't think there is much of a difference. If we are worried about the 6 seed we have huge problems.

You know, the Pats just have that look to them right now...their OL steamrolled the Ravens vaunted front 7. They're playing with more and more confidence each week, and despite Suggs' idiotic yapping, I don't think the Ravens want to come back to Gillette in the playoffs.

I expect the Pats to be improving between now and the playoffs. Don't know that I feel that way about any other team, except maybe Green Bay. Seattle, I had thought, but they've crapped themselves in their last two road games, lost a huge piece 9and maybe a second) of their defense - perhaps bigger than Gronk was to our offense.
