Back up QB's and Schedule.

One thing that destroys that weak sauce is the fact that the Pats have held more teams below their scoring ave. than Seattle has. That makes weak schedule irrelevant. Unless, of course, you believe Seattle has a really crappy defense.

I fully admit that the Defense PPG stat is not entirely the be all if taken in a vacuum.. Example; giving up 17 points to the 2007 Patriots or 2013 Broncos, not the same thing as giving up 17 points to the 2016 RAms or Browns. I just find it entertaining that we may end up at the top in the league in DPPG when people were so crazy about how bad the D was, sometimes creating threads to rag on the D in the middle of the game that we of course end up winning by 2 scores.

Wouldn't shock me if flaccid has 57 pass attempts. I expect them to come out throwing.

If rowe was at full strength, id welcome flacco throwing that much. ravens would get blown out. But even if he plays,(which i doubt), he wont be. So the pass rush needs to step up again. Sheard needs to keep ballin like he did last week. Nink finally looks healthy and Flowers looks strong. That allows them to limit longs snaps improving his effectiveness. I really dont want to see rowe on the field until hes 100%. Hammys are notorious for recurring. Pats are gonna need him. It allows ryan to remain in slot where he belongs.

Without Thomas, their D is lost and needs a few games to recalibrate.

It's like NE losing Tedy or Rodney back in the day

Chiefs are gonna find out too what life is like without DJ....and it will suck.

My bad, I think? Is that just his slightly twisted sense of humor?

Short hand satire. Checkout my sig for a spoiler on my true feelings.

Thats true BUT.. Pats still held more opponents below their scoring avg than seattle BEFORE Thomas was hurt

I think SEA was at 16.2 when ET III got hurt

I'm just saying SEA is screwed.

Going into the season a lot of people thought New England would have a top 5 defense. With Jamie Collins and Hightower and Butler all playing for contracts.

Right up until Thomas went out, i was still pretty sure of a ne/sea sb. Now i think dallas will be hard to beat in nfc. game tonight is huge. Funny about the afc-before season, most "experts" felt steelers were only credible threat to pats. i agreed. then injuries and crappy play made evryone abandon ship. Not so fast my friend. Right now i think the steelers are the only team that could challenge the pats.

and they end up with a top 1 Defense.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves, season isn't over yet. Do you really feel like the Patriots have the best defense in the NFL?
