Week 15 @ Den

Sure, but they didn't have both the week before AND the week after as shortened weeks. Big difference, in my opinion.

I'm not claiming there's some big conspiracy, just that it looks odd viewing the schedule.
Happens. We also have never travelled on thursday night football. Imagine the brisset game was a road game at miami or new york or pittsburgh .

This conspiracy theory everytime the pats have something unfavourable is really not the case IMO. Every team gets its share of bad scheduling effects .Sometimes we bear the brunt of it sometimes someone else. As I said, check seattle's schedule when they played us .why did the nfl do us that favor-give us a bye for team travelling cross country after a MNF game ?

I don't know why they did that. I just think it looks bad. Im not saying they did it on purpose( although I did say probably which was a dumb thing to say). I just wouldn't be suprised. I will say this, -and I've noticed it for years. Teams always seem to play their primetime games bunched together.

Doesn't matter to me or my Pats team, they will be ready.

You could be onto something with this thinking.

By the way, it looks weird to see us having back to back games on only 6 days rest. That's kind of ********, having to play on MNF then turn around and go out west to DEN, only to come home again and play on Saturday. Basically 3 games in a 12 day span.

3 of the last 4 years involved playing Denver on a short week. Very weird.

2013 - @ Panthers on MNF, then Broncos at Gillette on short week (comeback from 24-0 game)
2014 - N/A. (Not a short week. Won in a blowout)
2015 - vs Bills on MNF, then @ Denver on short week
2016 - vs Ravens on MNF, then @ Denver on short week

I don't care what time slot they play in............ AS LONG AS THE PATS WIN !!!!!!

I am actually happy its a 4:25 game. I am not a big Sunday night football guy, unless I don't have to work monday. That Denver vs New England game will have huge ratings at the 4:25 slot.

Given that the Pats are slated to play at Denver next year for the third year in a row...can we expect the all mighty dictator to factor this in going forward, and ensure that Denver comes to Gillette for their next three regular season meetings?

The home/away games schedule is all a known formula. The fuhrer can't manipulate home/away games and who plays who. As long as the division, amount of teams, number of games played, stay the same you can predict every team the Pats play(except the 2 games) however far in the future you want to look.

AFC WEST teams was scheduled to host the AFC EAST teams in 2015 and 2016.
AFC EAST teams is scheduled to host AFC WEST teams in 2018 and 2019.
1st in division plays 1st in division.
2nd in division plays 2nd in division.
3rd in division plays 3rd in division
4th in division plays 4th in division.

We hosted the Donkeys and Raiders and visited the Chargers and Chiefs in 2014. So in 2017 we visit the Donkeys and Raiders and host the Chargers and Chiefs.

So when fans or players complain they keep playing the Pats in Foxborough they should be *****ing at their own team, not the schedule makers. Because if they're constantly playing in Foxborough it means they're not matching us by winning their division constantly. That's solely on them. If they did, it would be 3 home, 3 away, 3 home, 3 away...

Edit: I shouldn't say the fuhrer can't manipulate the schedule like that because we all know he can do whatever he wants.

^ Thanks for that breakdown. I was aware of the 1st vs. 1st, 2nd vs. 2nd, etc aspect but wasn't aware on the added layers involved. Never know with Kim Good-ell so thought I'd ask.

The last thing any Patriots fan should complain about is this year's schedule. It was much more favorable than not.

First 5 games were perfect. Bye @ 9 is perfect. Almost every big game, tough match up is at home.

There are many other teams with better arguments in that area.

I'm sure Oakland isn't doing cartwheels over their last 4 (@KC- @SD- INDY- @Denver)

Denver (Tenn- Patriots- @KC- OAK)

Broncos played at Gillette 3 years in a row: 2012, 2013, and 2014

Denver came to New England 2012-2014 3 years in a row.

What is your complaint?

That extra day can be a big difference. Only 6 days between games 2 weeks in a row

You know someone lost a sports argument when they bring up "OH YEAH WELL DID YOU PLAY IN 4TH GRADE???"

Playing 3 games in 12 days instead of 3 in 13 like pretty much everyone else is a lame place to look for conspiracy.
