Note: I am not calling anybody out and this thread isn't directed at any one person. I am a Patriots fan and we have a 7-2 team. The world isn't falling and most teams would LOVE to be 7-2 and that's a fact!

Though, we need to allow negativity to happen. Its natural and apart of ever medium including anime, videogames and sports. I understand being against posts that claim the sky is falling because to be honest we are going to win this division and are heavy playoff threats. We aren't a 1 and done team, but we are not without flaws and as a fanbase we should be allowed to express our distaste for a loss and express what Brady did wrong and what this team is doing wrong. I'm no Pats forum veteran and most of you have been fans longer than me, but we aren't robots. We are the best fans in the world who are human. Go Pats!

I'm confused with this thread's title. We should stop being against negativity? So just keep being negative is what you're saying?

You better get used to it becasue the "chicken little" talk has been going on for as long as I've been here. I honestly wish they could ban that phrase cause it's so damn stupid. These homers act like you can't criticize anything about the team even when there are legitimate concerns. Some of them still will not admit the defense played poorly tonight when 98% of the rest of us can see it.

It's better to just ignore it and continue on.

Valid point though. We don't want to all hit the "sky is falling" button too quickly, but we should be open to criticism of the team if/when it hits a roadblock.

Good: "This defense seems to be having issues this year - I believe I've noticed [deficiency X]. Has anyone else seen that as well?"

Bad: "This defense f***ing sucks smh season over lol F off Pats homers fire Patricia"

But seriously I haven't seen anyone be "against" negative feelings/opinions. At least from what I've seen. I think there is such a thing as overdoing the crapping on the team, as well as being overly positive. I say let people say what they want, how they want to say it and let the people who disagree do it thusly.

Yeah, we shouldn't fire Patricia nor act like the sky is falling. We are 7-2, not 5-4 facing three losses in a row by 10+ points.

I was told to jump to a new fanbase and was told I was giving up in the Seattle game even though I said "We might still win this game".

Strongly disagree. This is easily one of the most fragile, irrational, and mentally unstable fanbases in all of sports. I have no doubt most of you hermits cut yourselves after losses.
I usually get over it in 30 minutes. I have experience dealing with hard losses dating back to my childhood and being the worst yugioh duelist in my school. I was like the Jets, just smarter.

No one is going to agree 100% of the time because nobody is perfect, except a deity you may/may not believe in. Those are bombastic statements obviously, and they are also anomalies. You shouldn't let one post deter you from feeling the way you feel. And you don't have to make a full thread about it either, lol. Brush your shoulders off and carry on.

I'm not the first to claim this though and those two examples were just examples, not the entire list of the times I have seen this happen. I know threads like these will put me under fire somewhat and may seem useless, but its a valid concern. Like I said, I'm no Pats forum veteran and most of you would likely miss me way less if I left compared to a vet which is understandable, but one thing I've always been good at is logical reasoning in debates and concepts. Sometimes I am loved on forums, other times called Blount *Blunt. I am blunt, but logical.

The problem is that on the game day threads in particular it's about 10% the former and 90% the latter.

Sky is falling mindset is only understandable if you're The Titans losing 59-0 to the GOAT. That or dropping three in a row.

I will try to post a warning early on in Game Day Threads that this thread is likely to violate your safe space

People just get amped up during the game. I doubt that most people would say most of those same things any other time. If you avoided the GDT, you'd probably find the board pretty mellow.

Listen, if there is anyone who is going to take these games and skewer the frack out of them, it's this coach. So I think you should carry on and do what you're doing. Don't get deterred from what you may see. If you believe you are right (even if you're wrong) stay to your conviction. I've never liked the disparaging on either side (chicken little/homer) because it invalidates the other person. Just do you. Ok enough Dr. Dawg for me. GO PATS!

I hope the coach skewers them. If not, we're Buffalo and that circus bildo throwing sideshow of a team/fanbase. I get what you mean though of course, but I at least don't think offering my piece to the debate puzzle invalidates the claim. Anyway, yes go Pats! 7-2 baby.

There's a difference between being negative and deluded, acting like this team doesn't have problems is delusion.

They're 7-2 but the defense has problems at all 3 levels, there's no pass rush, the secondary is blowing coverage all over the place and now we've got big question marks at linebacker outside of Hightower since the Collins trade.

If you look at that projecting forward to playing against good teams who can hold the offense to 24 or less especially in the playoffs, then that's something to be concerned about unless there's massive improvement which seems unlikely with the current personnel.
