The difference between giving up yards on 3rd down is HUGE. Don't even try with your BS to see how PUTRID this defense played today
Actually the data he brings to the discussions bring a lot of perspective.

All you do is whine like a *****.

2nd and 3rd CB an issue and hopefully the Detroit LB can help. Roberts needs more seasoning - he will get even better. Not looking at film but does not feel like Hightower is having a great year.

I think the offense was fine, the fumble was a tough one for sure but when JEII gets those crazy tough yards folks love it, the only thing I disliked was the play call on 4th and goal...just thought we had a better chance running it.

Seattle gave up a 3rd and 25... Made possible by the crooked officiating.

Well if there was a game to lose, it was this one.

I'll be honest, I'm not entirely disappointed as I thought I'd be, even with that "WTF?" ending.

This team needed a challenge. They got one and were reminded tonight that they need to do ALOT better if they want to win a title.

There's no "good losses", but this may be the kick in the pants they needed. It's good to be humbled every once in a while.

Onto San Francisco....

I've been arguing against that approach with this roster. I believe we would be better if we played aggressive get them off the field defense with the guys we've got. Many might disagree, but against solid competition relying on them to choke is flawed. We need an identity on defense - right now it is looking passive and tentative.

We can still get that identity if Hightower steps up as a leader more and the team gets more physical and imposing. In the meantime, though, we've got tough sledding while the defense figures out who they are going to be towards the end of the year.
Yes. I think the idea is to have enough space to prevent the big play, but I think the coverage should tightened up, and rely on the safety more often. It's just , as you infer, too risky. We can't allow a reception for a gain ,and then tackle him. The red zone coverage can't overcome that. It was just a feeling of "lack of urgency" from the 1st snap. Coaching???

I want some of the drugs you're taking. No the Patriots are certainly NOT the best team this year. They will get SCORCHED again by Denver. They're not better than the Cowboys either. Pats wont beat Denver if they cant beat Seattle.

This entire transitive thinking shows that you have no clue what you are talking about.

But whatever lets play your stupid game.. the Falcons lost to Seattle and yet somehow ended up winning pretty convincingly in Denver.. A team losses to Seattle on a somewhat controversial non-call and still wins in Denver..

Brady just admitted they were not trying to score on the 1st sneak....no confidence in the D at all

The secondary in zone was just atrocious and looked clueless at times. There were so many breakdowns I wouldn't be surprised if BB would have gone for 2 to end the game right there if we had scored.

hey we got robbed to lol,

Pretty funny how Pats and Saints both got boned by refs. Ya obviously the losses weren't all on the refs but the 2 biggest ref decisions of the game and it goes against the Pats and Saints.

345 park avenue celebrating tonight especially with their darling cowboys with the best record in the nfl.

Can't say Relax when you were on here the entire week saying we'd win by double digits.

It essentially required 3 turnovers (INT, fumble, stop on 4th down) for Seattle to win this game by one TD. Lets not forget about that while everyone is ranting about the defense.

Still wondering how they called possession on that fumble that Roberts came away with. Like on those do the refs just decide "f**k it just give it back to them"

lol yeah its sucks, but what can you do. ITs not all on the refs but the 2pts lost our game and that dude was out. Aww well. I also do think there was a foul in the loss in your game. If anything according to the rules it should be pass interference and offencive pass interference , off setting penalties, and thats a replay down, roll the clock back. Dual penalties at the least. Yeah cowboys , romo is going to be a high trade lol
