There were so many mistakes throughout the game. Julian's came late when it's seem to matter more, but I think Tom's fumble at the 1 yard line hurt us just as much.
I put this one on the offense. So many 3 and outs in the first half. Can't score a tying goal with 1st and goal in the 4th. Brady with an uncharacteristic interception. Edelman with the fumble. They were more physical and played harder. We'll learn from it, and move on. The AFC East is still ours. Long season to correct issues.
Just plain lost. Did everything at least a little bit worse than Seattle. This isn't a "blow through the entire schedule" team, and we already knew this. I thought we would win but we didn't, but as far as surprise losses go, this one is not very surprising.
You might be right - they had a timeout left, four more tries from the half yard line would've guaranteed a TD... but, that's stupid since it relies on the officials, who are totally inconsistent. You shouldn't be running a play at the 1 that isn't intended to score, especially with the game on the line...
Tough loss but maybe they didn't want to show any tricks in case they meet in the Super Bowl. Gronk's our best player on offence after Brady. They gave him a shot with the game on the line, it just didn't work out this time. I would of liked to see that play maybe on first or second down, but it is what it is.
Pats lost without playing their best game and Seattle playing a very good one and it was razor close.
Overall it sucks but the super bowl is still on the table and the Pats clearly know what they need to fix if they are to win it.
Overall sucks but this is a lose they have to learn from. They will likely still be the first seed but they need to improve their D between now and then.
