If you compare an equal amount of seasons (let's say, Gonzalez's first 7 seasons) the only statistical advantage Gonzo has on Gronk is number of catches, and additionally we'll note that Gonzalez was targeted around 130 times more than Gronk has been

TG - first 7 seasons
rec 468 / yds 5647 / td 47

Gronk - to present
rec 402 / yds 6039 / td 69

I didn't do it, but I'd guess that this would be true even if you cherry-picked Gonzalez's best 7 seasons. The only counter-argument is that Rob has Tom, while Gonzo toiled with a parade of lesser QBs for basically his entire career. But no one holds it against Jerry Rice that he had HOF and All-Pro (Rich Gannon in '01/'02) QB's throwing to him until he was 41.

And that's without normalizing games played, which means we're comparing 111 games for Gonzo to 86 games for Gronk (with 8 more to play this year too). I think that's fair, because being able to play matters as does longevity, but there is no doubt Gronk is a more dominant force at the position. He's the single most dominant and important non-QB offensive player in the league. Whether you agree or not - has anyone ever even been able to legitimately make that claim about a TE before?

Next Sunday night Broncos at Raiders... so one of them goes down that is nice. Need those teams to start dropping games. True only one of those three (Broncos, Raiders, and Chiefs) have a shot at 1 seed, but would like them to start dropping games. Probably better for us to have the Raiders beat the Broncos.

3rd down defense the last 4 weeks 35.1%

Which for the season 35.1% would be top 10. So for the last 4 weeks 3rd down defense has been basically top 10 on 3rd down.

They played some of the most depleted offences last 4 games, BB&MP are constantly rotating corners because outside of Butler there is no consistency, possibly even quality. The combination of modest pass rush and inconsistent CB play (outside Butler of course) makes this D suspect - so there is something in the eye. And its not only my eye, or many other people's eyes (including competent and composed guys like Lombardi) or any future creatures eyes, I believe its also in the eyes of BB and MP.
Yeah, it hasn't been good besides Butler. Rowe has made a couple nice plays, but he's also collected several penalties in limited time. If he can body up some bigger guys that might be a useful skill set, but he's no Browner. Ryan/Rowe bracketing a guy with D-Mac might be their best option, and it might be workable if they do everything else well. It has been so far. I understand the frustration about the D by some fans, and it'd be nice if the trade-off for some of the inconsistency was the occasional INT, but overall I've seen more to be positive about than negative. Plus, y'know, scoreboard.

As I said in the other thread I still want to know with all the security at stadiums....how did a bildo get into the stadium....????? Just sayin. Im sure it was a guy that brought it in....ha ha ha ha....

Is there a rule against bringing a "personal relaxation device" to the game? I can't imagine they are dangerous.

Those referrees were terrible today on both sides..... And yet it wasn't even Clete Blakeman, Jerome Bogar, or Jeff Tripplette. *shudder*. I can only imagine what will happen when we get the joy of seeing them later in the season.

I just hope we get to so Vinovich & co. in the more important games. I feel like he is the most consistent ref we had in the past few years. I don't even wanna think about how Boger would have completely ****ed up the ineligible receiver plays against the Ravens.

They are as dangerous when thrown as plastic bottles. I don't think you are allowed to bring those to games anymore.

This JillsMafia idiot is pissed....

People won't be allowed to bring their own bildos into stadiums as soon as stadiums start selling them in their pro shops.

they sell player jerseys, why not...... nevermind
