Does anyone consider Emmitt Smith better than Jim Brown? Gronk is simply more dominant than Gonzalez ever was, and Tony was great. Gronk is on another level from every other tight end I've ever seen. Longevity is nice but Gronk is already GOAT.

He's a HoFer.

Just not sure Gronk can make it to 35

Hey, I don't disagree - but longevity doesn't always equal best. If it did then Favre is the greatest QB ever. In reality, he's probably #5 at best.

Right now, Tony G has the stats, but Gronk's greatness is already apparent. He can do what Tony G did as a receiver - plus he's the best blocking TE in the league. I genuinely believe if he retired now, he'd go in first ballet.

If we end up winning the SB this year I really like twenty years from now when a kid asks me about NE's dominance and if they could get shown examples of it, this will be the season I would show them. I love this season.

And when your future kids say, " But their defense doesn't pass the eye test", you can put them into timeout for the remainder of the season.

No question Gronk is HoF and better than TGon.

It's a question of stats and longevity

Haven't seen much of Brown. Also not much on stat sheet.
Anyone knows what happened? Has he played in the 4th Q?

This idiot is already conceding the division. (Which makes him smart.)

It bad enough when the head coach gives up at mid season but the thing that kills me the most about what he said is the Bills could actually run the table and still lose the division.

I think they played a great game on offense and Brady at least to me is throwing the deep ball better then I think he ever has. But the defense still worries me, yes I know they only give up minimal points but I just believe the bend dont break thing will eventually cost you big time. But I have faith in BB. I cant believe all the idiots on the Bills Forums that thought NE would get stomped.

As I said in the other thread I still want to know with all the security at stadiums....how did a bildo get into the stadium....????? Just sayin. Im sure it was a guy that brought it in....ha ha ha ha....

I'm not even sure Gonz will have better career numbers, I'm at work right now, but off the top of my head, I believe Gronk has a better average per game in terms of yards - TD's are already a virtual no contest in Gronk's favour. I'll check when I get home.

Man, I loved Gonz though, what a player.

Tony Gonzalez Stats:
Tony Gonzalez

Games 270 Receptions 1,325 Yards: 15,127 YPR 11.4 73 TDs 111 Fumbles 6 Fumbles lost 2

Rob Gronkowski Stats:
Rob Gronkowski
Games 86 Receptions 397 Yards 5,930 YPR 14.9 TD 69 Fumbles 2 Fumbles lost 2

What really kills me is he is smokin and joking with his brother at the end of the game...he thinks it is so funny huh...pathetic.

Nah, the Patriots losing 7-24 to the NY Jets will be punishment enough. NE won't be dominant forever and thats okay. This run has created memories enough for two lifetimes.

They played some of the most depleted offences last 4 games, BB&MP are constantly rotating corners because outside of Butler there is no consistency, possibly even quality. The combination of modest pass rush and inconsistent CB play (outside Butler of course) makes this D suspect - so there is something in the eye. And its not only my eye, or many other people's eyes (including competent and composed guys like Lombardi) or any future creatures eyes, I believe its also in the eyes of BB and MP.

Bills fan on their board: "Teams with good QBs seem to put up a good fight against the Patriots"

Me: ............ ...........Id hope ....??

Just got to clean up the pass rush and #2, 3, 4 CB spots and this team will be unbeatable. ;-)

I'm afraid to wade through the game thread so I'll ask it here: why was Rex penalized for throwing a flag too late on the last drive, costing them a timeout? Shouldn't he have been penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct instead since the play wasn't reviewable inside of two minutes unless the booth calls for it. Shouldn't that have nullified the subsequent okay (the actual touchdown) and have set them back 15 yards?

Those referrees were terrible today on both sides..... And yet it wasn't even Clete Blakeman, Jerome Bogar, or Jeff Tripplette. *shudder*. I can only imagine what will happen when we get the joy of seeing them later in the season.
