This is a great day in the history of the New England Patriots: Bills locking up Taylor long term

Winning 8 of 10 with a td/int ratio of 27:2 and a ypa over 9 is not lucky it playing extremely well. The fact that he couldn't continue to pjay well afterward has absolutely nothing to do with how well he played that season.
If Taylor played that well last season he would have accomplished the gargantuan task if leading a Rex Ryan coached team to the playoffs.

If memory serves correctly, it was a cupcake schedule with a lot of dropped picks.

Come on. The guy had a monster year and you call it luck because the schedule was average (it was not a cupcake schedule, he beat playoff teams) and you think he is the only QB to have dropped picks?
So I guess the Patriots have been lucky all these years because they have a cupcake schedule in a division with 3 crappy teams and Brady throws a lot of dropped picks?
When a player plays well, he plays well.

On the topic, you do realize Taylor beat one 'playoff' team and that was Houston who made it by default.

I'm not even sure what your point is?
Are you saying Taylor was a GREAT QB last year, or that he was better than a QB who went 8-2 (really 9-2 because he came off the bench early in his first game and won it) who threw 27 TDs, 2 Ints, had a 119 rating (one of the highest ever) and averaged over 9 yards per attempt? Tyrod Taylor?

I think you're saying a lot more than I'm saying. Neither QB should be making more than good backup money.

Closer inspection of this deal reveals a contract much more team- friendly than player- friendly. I think the Bills overall fleeced Taylor.

Overpaid but Tyrod is a decent QB. Not a good deal but not a terrible one either.

Overpaid? It's a very team friendly deal and Taylor could end up royally shafted if he doesn't play lights out. How is he overpaid? Curious...

The only thing that Tom Brady and Tyrod Taylor have in common is the same birth date..

Another nail in the Rex Ryan coffin.. the world's greatest coordinator masquerading as an inept head coach..

For a second I thought Tyrod had called up Mark Sanchez to teach him how to work Rex over for a new deal.

But it really seems like a 1 year deal with Redskin style $$$ associated to it that will never materialize.

Remember, "a 2 at 10, becomes a 10 at 2", when you are desperate.

Enjoy your new franchise QB Buffalo.

First JP Losman, then EJ Manuel and now Tyrod Tayor. The Bills apparently have a different algorithm when it comes to franchise QBs.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
They got ten,
And we only got two

-Gerry Cheevers

For a second there I thought Taylor Swift was marrying our head coach.

Another great day in history:

Saturday, November 5th, 1955: Steve Belichick and the Tar Heels beat South Carolina, 32-14 (at Norfolk)

Way, way overpaid. 92 mill for tyrod Taylor. Just lol
