The coming back from down 3-1 against a record-setting team by playing more physical ball completes the 2007 Patriots parallel completely (Giants were 10-6 and a sixth seed). Although the 2011 Patriots are a parallel as well since they were the first to lose to a 9-7 team (Warriors first team to lose after being up 3-1). W's played like **** in that 4th quarter.

Don't give me that **** that he is with Jordan, Kareem, Magic

He may or may not be knocking on the door of the top 10 players, but he's competitive in the comparison of the two, at least statistically speaking.

Yep. You could have had 4 bench guys with Shaq out there and he still would have dominated. Prime Shaq is the greatest player ever. Obviously he didn't have the best career but in his prime he was the best ever
Still had amazing longevity despite not working hard in the offseason. **** man, Celtics Shaq was a beast, Rondo was getting like 15 assist a night.

Considering the defense in today's NBA isn't nearly as competitive as it was in the 90's and back, there is no way that Lebron is the number 2 player of all time. The league is soft now, a large percentage of today's "fouls" was called defense 20 years ago. While there is no doubt in my mind that Lebron would have been able to succeed in those times, he wouldn't be putting up the numbers that he does.

by your logic, Brady shouldn't be considered GOAT because today's NFL is soft as hell.

Bron is all time great. he would thrive in any era. dude is 6ft 8 255lb man child. he will adjust to physicality of the game just like he did against us in 2011. just too much talent on both ends. and scary thing is that he has another 5-6 years of high level basketball in him.

lol noway, MJ never missed a shot and never lost a game ever. LeBron and everyone else are nowhere close. At least that's what Nike and the kids down the block told me.

People would rather hate on greatness than respect it. You would think patriots fans of all people would choose to do the latter.

The funny thing about people complaining that defense used to be better is, today's zone defense wasn't even legal back then. Team defense might be better than ever. That great 08 Celts defense wouldn't have been allowed to be nearly as good back in those days.

not a fair comparison. Bron played so much more games than MJ in first 10 playoff appearances. like way way more.

Are we going to ignore the fact that LBJ was mediocre tonight?

and that Kyrie should have been MVP or?

as far as peak goes i would go

1. MJ
2 Shaq
3. Bird
4. Hakeem
5. Kareem

i know wilt in early 60's was super human, but he did it against bunch of dudes who had 2nd jobs.
On the flip side, there were no bottom feeders to feast on like today. Every team had multiple hall of famers. Sucks for Wilt he ran into the greatest dynasty ever and greatest winner in human history.

Jordan had to deal with some really good teams out east. Who the hell has LeBron had to play besides the 2008 Celtics? 2012 retirement home Celtics? 13-14 Pacers?

Yeah, Im a bit surprised in that regard. I can appreciate the fact that he's had some bad series' etc, but these last two finals have helped to shape my opinion that maybe some of that negative stuff is overstated.

What's overstated about saying he's still not GOAT?

He wasn't good tonight

yup. i'm a firm believer that talent level in both nfl and nba gets better and better simply because there is more money and bigger talent pool. today's soft era is very different compared to the past, but it doesn't mean today's players are worse. and IMO transcendent talents are transcendent. they would adjust and thrive in any era.

IMO nba did have best era in 80's and 90's only because players were more fundamental because they had to stay in college longer and they didn't have today's distraction. they had better centers because games were inside then out. but today we have much better shooters and wing players.

nfl too. IMO, 80's and 90's were great era. physical, tough, and less distraction. but doesn't mean today's players are worse than the past players. brady will be brady in any era.

People that say he is GOAT are the reason asylums should still be up and running. Reminds me of the MANNING GOAT!!! People
