It's the Raiders, they'll find a way to completely screw everything up. It's not hard to have an amazing offseason when you need to spend 100 million dollars just to hit the cap floor.
Look at their drafting the last couple years. It just can't be denied anymore that they've been doing a good job.

Eh, the Raiders hey day against the Patriots with sketchy endings to games (like that 76 game) was before my time. I guess I don't have as big of a grudge against them as some of you may have.

I'm kinda the same way. I remember the Raiders' excellence in the early 80's but when it has come to head to head battles in important games the Pats have pretty much owned them

I think they beat them in that 85 SB run if I know my history right, and there was that game in the 02 playoffs which was interesting. ;)

Have they really beaten us in a notable, relevant playoff game in the last 40 years?

They did. Raiders led at 1/2 time and then started coughing the ball up all over the place in the 2nd 1/2 and the Pats won in LA. That was so sweet.

And they beat Miami and the Jets in that run too.

Man that had to have been quite the run to watch.

That 85 team was incredibly athletic and very physical on both sides of the ball. The roughed up the Jets and Raiders. They pulverized Miami on the ground. Its on youtube. Great watch.

The only way that team beats the 85 Bears is with an elite QB. Eason was lazy at his craft and Grogs didn't have the accuracy or discipline at an elite level.

LOLWTF. Seriously?? This feels like some kind of weird joke... They have 25 million receivers, they really needed to sign not one but TWO of the Patriots' bottom-of-the-preseason-roster guys from last year?

Maybe they'll be better now that they work with the GOAT QB.

Luck is about to make these two superstars :eek:

That franchise is rudderless. Totally reactive and completely lacking any vision whatsoever.

Now the Pats should sign Benny "The Brain" Heenen.:p

You'd think they'd sign some defensive players seeing as how the Pats have 73648484 rushibg yards in 7 games against them. Oh well, pass the pills!

Pretty sure the bad roughing the passer call in the 1976 postseason took place against Oakland, where the Raiders went on to win.

Yeah, not really a loss. The guy played because our rookie tackle schoefield was hurt, and playing horribly. Schoefield came back and started through out the playoffs.
It's a loss of depth..

Huh, I put one on them in 1977 but it never took. Glad yours is working thus far....

I think it was just that the timing was right. The 2001 snow bowl win was exactly 25 years after the Ben Dreith theft so it made sense to do a 25 year curse at that time. The fact that most of Raider Nation still cries over that 2001 win makes it even sweeter, especially now knowing that that game kick started the Pats on a run that has had them pass by the Raiders in the all time winner's race.

Maybe Boyce & Tyms are going to play OL. Couldn't be worse than what the Colts have...

Man.......if they draft another receiver in the first round I'm going to praise the football Gods for allowing me to witness such buffoonery.

Why would Grigson deviate from the plan now? He just got a big contract extension, that must mean he's doing everything right! Full speed ahead!
