I feel like Lafell just didn't want to be here anymore. Patriots obviously saw something they didn't like. In some of his interviews talking about hating training camp etc etc. After missing the entire preseason...it really goes against everything Belichick preaches about preparation, hard work, do your job etc.

... . es all good doe...we got 7-11 baby.

I think there were a myriad of things going on with JoJo in 2015. The shoulder, then the foot, then PUP, he comes back, hes erratic, he makes these awkward statements about team strategy and BB's film review habits. He lolly gags on a couple of routes vs PHI. He just never got in sync like he did in 2014. Its a shame, really.

Many players have said that playing here is HARD. Maybe JoJo just got burnt out?

Give me Boldin and Colston. Have a WWF style retirement match in TC, winner makes team, loser retires. Sounds as logical as some other things going on present day.

Spot on. He's a good player and honestly I am a fan but it just seemed like he mentally checked out. I can excuse alot due to injury and lack of preseason but he was dropping some routine passes man...it got bad.

I like both but I lean towards Colston. A few years younger. Big target. Lines up more in the slot. He had a down year but looked ok to me.

Figured I would throw out some names still on the board besides the aforementioned Boldin and Harvin...

1. Kamar Aiken - I know, he was already here and didn't make it but he blossomed in Baltimore. He's another RFA. He looked pretty damn good last season when he was basically the only threat in the passing game (catching passes from Ryan Mallett no less...) Wonder what it would cost to get him from Baltimore. And if they match, they're paying more for him. Just a thought, don't think it'll happen though.

2. Andre Holmes - Another ex-Pat, but still worth looking into. I haven't really heard much about him on Twitter so I don't think his market is too hot. He's got the size and speed you want... One year deal?

3. James Jones - He's not particularly fast but he seems to have a penchant for catching TDs. He's a pretty big receiver kind of in the mold of a Boldin but younger. I think he would be cheap also.

4. Terelle Pryor - He's got the size and speed for sure, just wonder about the fit. They've had him in for workouts already so they know what he is.

5. Nate Washington - He's getting oldish (32) but I've always respected this guy's game. I would welcome him here on a one year low money deal for sure.

6. Riley Cooper - he's white, so...

7. Joshua Bellamy - 6'0", 205 pounds, 4.4 forty. Has kicked around the league a while without sticking. Might be worth a cheap signing.

A couple other names to watch - Marques Colston, Marc Mariani, Leonard Hankerson, Jeremy Kerley, Jaron Brown.

LOL riley cooper? sign him up...

team of white skill players

Agreed. Might have also lost confidence too. You drop passes here or run bad routes you get in TB12s doghouse real quick. It does seem that the coaching staff lost a little confidence in him as well. Once x-Mas rolled around he went MIA. Just weird.

I'd like to see that Training Camp Battle... Boldin is as physical and tough as they come.. Could really be an asset in the red zone.
I like him too. The fact that he can't play STs hurts his chances here (Colston too) but as a reliable target I think he can still do a pretty good job.

Lol I had to throw that one in there. I think Cooper might actually be a kinda okay signing, but he's white too so it has like a 99.9% chance of happening.

we'd have a team of slot receivers.

can anyone make plays on the outside consistency? other than gronk? no
everything works towards the center. lol

Well like I was saying in another thread I think DA may have come to the end of the line here so Colston becomes that backfill. Because he is not a STer he prob is not a fit here anyways.

We can just replace Danny with my boy Harper

im still convinced that lord percy will finally join us.

it HAS to happen

I think this is the year they are going to take some random WR with one of their 200 6 round picks and he's going to end up lighting the sidelines on fire.

Might not be the 6th round but remember the name, Keyarris Garrett
