The Jets were a borderline playoff team last year, and they've already upgraded their running attack. Why the hell would you want them to go back to blowing chunks again?

Schedule is harder. Much harder. Vets (Brick Mangold Revis) getting older and probably declining. Lost some players (Snacks, Cro). Fitz crumbled when it counted most.

Add that together and I don't feel confident going into 2016. Either Fitz takes less and we can improve the team with the savings or, peace out Fitz. Thanks for the mediocre season.

D Thomas is one of the most overrated WRs in the league.

edit: Just looked at his stats and they were far better than I thought. 4 straight seasons with 90+ receptions and 1,300+ yards. Wow. Can't fluke into those stats so I guess I was wrong. Although I've seen several Denver games over the last few years and he seemed pretty inconsistent and invisible at times.

I would take Sanders of Thomas any day of the week. I wouldn't send anything more than a 3rd for Thomas.

Heard this same sentiment when LaFell got signed... Plain and simple whoever is on the outside that plays in at least 15 games is probably gonna catch 50-70 passes and have 700-900 yards in this offense.

Anything over 10 for Fitz is insanity.

Now you're probably gonna think I'm nuts. Most Jet fans do too, but...

Option 1: Spend 12+mil on Fitz and basically field the same team as last year with a much harder schedule. Maybe 8 wins? I love the RB moves, but it won't make that much of a difference.

Option 2: GENO Spend the saved 12+mil on filling holes and getting younger. Geno has never played with a good offense. I want to see what he can do. He either excels with a much-much improved team, or he blows. At least we didn't waste the money on a stop-gap QB and "invested" the money in the team.

We've seen what he can do. He blows. Cut your losses now and trade him to the Montreal Allouettes or something and sign Fitzy. Buffalo's a ****-show in the making and Miami's already there. Your Jets are playoff contender with him. Without him you're in rebuilding mode.

Do you want to have something to root for every Sunday or do you want to say wait 'til next year by week 4? Giving Geno the helm means you'll be screaming please God make it end by that point.
