New York Daily writer uncovers Peyton's true persona

"But it speaks to Peyton Manning's image that this is the absolute worst thing anyone can find that he has done in nearly twenty years in the public eye, a locker room prank gone awry."

Yep, that article is an absolute joke. Peyton forcefully shoved his junk into a female employee's face and the writer describes it only as "juvenile and dumb"

I wonder if the writer would feel differently about it if a star football player did the same thing to his daughter

Nice reply in the comments section of the CBSSports piece to those saying we're only getting one side of the story -

Wrong. We've been hearing the Manning's version of the story which the media bought hook line and sinker. Otherwise they would not have given Peyton the free pass all these years.

This is blowing up everywhere! I think I last counted at least a couple dozen articles/blogs written yesterday when I Google "Peyton manning sexual assault." Yahoo, si, foxsports... I don't know if this will be ignored this time. Before this, I think there were 2 or 3 articles out there from the last 20 years. I'm sure some of you have previously done the same search.

Either way, these are court documents. Who gives a **** about credibility of the person posting them?

"It doesn't matter who fires the first shot, the cavalry's gonna be a chargin'."

Yes I just made that cliche up.

We all know what the truth is--yet sadly, no one will really give a damn. Not about this, and not about the HGH allegations, unless some major breakthrough happens with substantial evidence.

Peyton* just morphed into PEYTON*..

Don't get your hopes up to high, gotta remember they named a Children's Hospital after him.. there is not a lot of confidence that this will change much the Mannings and their legions are very good at damage control..

Jim Nantz just issued a statement, "Peyton* denies this".

I have to admit to being wrong on one count about Manning: this recent stuff has gained far more traction with the general public and national media than I thought possible. Are many still giving him a pass and will they continue to do so? Sure, but it's finally out there, without question.

I don't get that either. Peyton and his dad gave their side in the book and in a sworn deposition under oath. 20+ people had the choice to support the Manning's version of the truth or hers......and they supported hers. So did the judge who saw evidence that warranted it.

This is not surprising. Goebbles must back from the dead and now using Wordpress to crank out the ESPN version of the Volkischer down in Bristol..

If ESPN employees were told not to mention the NYDN story about Manning, it makes you wonder what their instructions were last year, when talking about Brady and the ball deflation sham - "Mention it a lot, treat it like there's ironclad evidence that it happened, and act like you're really offended. Cry if you can."

I think you know what happened.

This is a great point. I must have had my head buried in the sand because I had never heard ANY of this before yesterday. But in thinking about it, you're right. The only side of the story that has ever been told, really, is Peyton's. Now the other side comes out and people are complaining that it's one-sided???

It's true that King may have zero credibility. So ok, forget King and look at the court documents he points to. It's all there. King just put the pieces together.

Typical shoot-the-messenger instead of deal with the message kind of response by some people. It could be Ronald McDonald writing about this but if it's true...it's true.

Uh ohhhh.... This lawsuit just came down last week?? And it cites Manning... This could really blow things up.
Ah. So the plantiff's legal team gained access to the docs and pushed them out to pour gasoline on the flames.

In what universe does Jason Whitlock have the license to determine who is and isn't credible?

Could've been. But if that's the case then it would be more of an anti-UT agenda instead of an anti-Manning agenda. Seemed like King's source was anti-Manning.

Would be nice if these ladies could get access to that sealed section of the documents and release it for all to see. Would be pertinent to their suit considering it also happened at UT.
