KC Fans Blow Their 15 Minutes of Fame

Perhaps, but that's an arbitrary assumption. Prior to the game, a Chiefs fan on the Chiefs board predicted Tom Brady would be "anally raped" by the Chiefs defense. Others chimed in with similar "sentiments." Is that necessarily a moderating issue? But as I said, my personal experience as a visiting fan in other stadiums pretty much has correlated with the "quality" of expression on their message boards. Some fan bases are excellent, Green Bay being a great example.
I agree that some fan bases are made up a bit differently than others, but security policies at the stadiums themselves have a huge impact on what happens in the stadium. Look at the difference in Foxboro before and after the Krafts. It's night and day. I'm not saying there's not a difference in fan bases, just that the stadium and message board cultures aren't necessarily a good representation of the makeup of the entire fanbase.

I don't think you can judge behavior by how well it's policed.

The dramatic difference of peoples' behavior at Foxboro stadium before vs after Kraft's purchase suggests otherwise.
It's much more than that -- including behaviors outside the stadiums, on concourses, etc. But yes, the Pats are a class organization and manage things accordingly.

There are a lot of annoying Pats fans, I'll admit. We aren't stupid and delusional like Jets fans but there are a lot of Pats fans who are overly sensitive.

I was browsing earlier today and cringed reading a few tweets by Pats fans attacking Deion Sanders for "hating on Brady" because he picked against the Pats this week.
I didn't "hate" (nice hyperbole, btw) on Deion...but I did chide him. There's a wide chasm between the two thoughts.

Yes. Yes it is. I can vouch we've had that here and it is gotten rid of as soon as possible.

That KC website evidently has different "standards".

Kraft has made it more known that everything is under camera surveillance and they take way peoples' season tickets. They don't eff around like some other ownerships (hello Woody, Jerruh, etc).

I live in KC and I can promise NY Yankees like hate going forward for Pats fans coming here. They are not the best fans in the NFL and they never were in the first place. They are not a franchise or fanbase that wins or loses gracefully.

Ive seen grown KC fan men push around Bronco fans that were women and much younger than they were.

I rock my Pats stuff everyday and have no plans to change anything. I just hope they don't key my 40 k truck when I am not around.

I live in south-central MO, and, so far, I haven't been confronted yet. Except for this flapjack who works in the produce department of my local grocery store. I imagine he's saying much now though.

Where?

I go fishing down there a lot.

Were you the Deb that WBZ had a short clip of right after the game?
No, I was huffing and puffing my way down from the 3rd level (I usually sit in Sec. 136 but gave my hubby those tix and took the ones up top). I hope she did the name proud & was crowing about the win!!

Its way different up here in KC. I'm in Kansas but only 30 minutes from Arrowhead.

These fans are butt hurt. Prior to the game all I heard was how the Chiefs were the better team and how it was basically over for NE.

Not every fan base is cut from the same cloth. An objective comparison of this message board with the Jets boards and the Chiefs board cited here bears that out. Patriots fan culture is a cut above most, and I'm not just being a blind homer saying that. I've traveled as a visiting fan to 14 NFL cities, seen quite a few fan boards. Do obnoxious Pats fans exist? Absolutely. But the overall differences can be quite distinct.
IDK Tune. Last year at the Bengals game there was a Bengals fan next to us and the drunk AH Pats fans behind us were terrible to the guy (and his GF, in Pats gear). It was an embarrassment. Even with lots of Pats fans telling them to knock it off they were eventually thrown out, but not until after they made it miserable for everyone around them.

On this message board I agree that the level of Pats fan is a cut about what I witnessed there, but not sure if that is true in general.

I don't think out worst are as bad as some of these other teams "worst".

Couldn't disagree more, there is a contingent of Patriot fans who have no appreciation for what they have accomplished and who continue to trash them on a regular basis and act as if they could actually do a better job, They are as bad as any "fans" out there other than those who commit violent acts in the name of sport.

Wow...I would have stood up and punched that douche bag in the face. Worth being tossed out of the game for.
Face? The guy is open for a **** punch.

Yes, I'd fight dirty. I'd immediately be outnumbered so I want company in either the hospital or morgue.

Deb, re-read my post. I acknowledged that obnoxious Pats fans do, indeed, exist.

Yup, but how many times do we see another fan base without sane and "sober" fans.
